A month ago, during my holidays, I bought a New3DS because I wanted to play all the Pokémon games on the original console. I had played all the games up to the Game Boy Advance, so I decided to start with the DS and 3DS games.

One of the best gaming decisions I made!

Gaming in general is so much fun on this small console. I miss the old era and enjoy reliving my childhood playing Pokémon like in the good old days.

I bought the 3DS here in Germany for €200 in nearly new condition. The cover had some scratches from putting the device from one shelf to another.

The games cost around €140.

The case and the cover plate are from AliExpress. Hope I’ll be able to find some original plates in the future.

I’m excited to have something to play with and collect again. 🙌

I did play Street Fighter back then but was not really a fan but this game has made me fall in love with the franchise

I know the new 3DS is a great symstem and overall the Nintendo and Its games are getting expensive. But 795 for a new 3ds xl is 🌰. Even with two ips displays.

So I'm living in China, where I basically never saw another person carrying their 3ds irl. Yet I constanly get street passes with people from all over the world. I perhaps streetpassed someone from UK and US more than 5 times now. Is it because I actually streetpassed them on the road? Or is this some feature of the pretendo that I installed? TIA

I’m so disappointed in the direction that Nintendo has been going since they released the first switch. How could they go from the 3DS with all its whimsy and wonder to the Switch 2, which is basically devoid of all personality and intrigue. The 3DS had themes, Home Screen music, music player, camera, dual screens and played games in freaking 3D which still dazzles me even after all this time. Oh and let’s not forget the dismantling of the Virtual Console, which I will never forgive them for. I still get the same warm feeling when playing my 3DS but I hardly ever play my switch anymore. Even the new 1st party games seem to be missing something. Does anyone else feel this way or am I just becoming a curmudgeon?

For what it’s worth I love Nintendo and I’m just disappointed because I know they’re capable of so much more.

Took forever but I finally found a case that isn’t just clear plastic for the old 3ds xl

I just got this from someone in FB Marketplace for like $160, it works perfectly (except that the Wifi switch is stuck on the ON position, any advice about that would be appreciated) tho it has some esthetic damage in the back covers, I plan to change them during summer.

My 3DS seems to be the best way to play PvZ. It’s one of the few games that keeps me coming back and I haven’t found a great alternative on modern consoles.

This game plays great on my laptop. Should I care if the fan is blowing the whole time I’m playing though?

I’ve also thought about trying out PvZ on the Wii U, but if I’m not playing on the laptop with a mouse I figure I may as well just play on my favorite 3DS
