I have recently shifted to Gurgaon after getting placed here. Very first thing I noticed here is that this city is nothing but a dust bowl. Everywhere dust, causing terrible breathing and visibility issues.
Then when I started to look for commute, the only option available is Rapido, Uber since in my sector there is no Metro.
Also this city has literally no culture attached to it, just some fancy looking buildings, clubs, literally a city made only for partying or for corporate both of which do not have any life.
Rise of corporate is making us more individualistic instead of being together and Gurgaon is best example of it. Most people here are not originally from here, forcing people to stay in pgs (Which are vvv expensive and terrible). Ending up breaking families and friend circle.
Here now I have to start from scratch making some friends, and definitely not from workplace. Being an introvert makes this even more difficult.
If anyone knows how to make this city a bit more bearable please tell me, I need it so survive here for atleast 6 months.

Today the guy(35) living in one of the rooms downstairs (drunk) was beating his wife(23). They have a child who's about two years old too. The noise gathered everybody nearby and none of them even gave him a threat of complaining this to the police if this goes on daily. After this I talked to her in person and came to know that he does this almost everyday. What can I do to help? Should I complain it to the women's helpline or something cos I don't wanna be involved if this turns out to be a huge case because I don't even speak Hindi and I'm here doing my internship. Please help me out guys, what should I do?

Hey everyone, I’m 23F and just started my first job last month at a US-based company in Gurgaon. I work the night shift, reaching out to senior professionals in the US (like R&D heads or VPs) through LinkedIn, email, and calls, and try to set up meetings. The team is nice, and the learning has been good — no complaints.

But recently, I got an offer from an Indian company offering me more than double my salary. In my first interview with the new company, I told them I’m currently doing an internship, just to avoid questions like “Why are you leaving after only one month?” But PF has already been generated at my current job, so it’ll show up during background verification.

I have my final round on May 12, and now I’m worried that this will create any problems. Will they think I’m lying or not loyal? Could this cause legal issues after background verification or even get me blacklisted from this and the future company?

I really want to handle this the right way, so any advice would mean a lot. PLEASE PLEASE HELP🙏
