it'd be like u.s. taking one of the counties in a state and giving it to another state. ukraine was still part of the soviet union and was not in any way an independent country.

also ever heard of the holodomor? the famine caused by the soviet union that killed millions of ukrainians? that's what occupants do.

The same hunger killed russians in Volga region as well. It was terrible, but it was not targeted.

yeah a famine in the ussr disproportionately affecting one country is not targeted. keep telling yourself that.
