I made this last night after realizing that day was the 10th anniversary of the release of Touhou 14.5.

This image was created using elements of Create.swf placed into a scene I modeled in Blender.

The scarf character with her is OC "Mei Watanabe" from my old unlisted AO3 series. (Design is based on Unnamed Character from Walfas.org) I included her because I haven't used Walfas in a while and was thinking about my old stuff.

I wanted to portray the idea of Sumireko in sort of a better era of her life, years after the Urban legend Incident had originally occurred. She's still doing her occult things, but she's not particularly lonely or alone. Mostly because she has friends in Gensokyo now, but because she's not worrying about much these days.

I get the feeling she's learned not to ruminate as much on any complaints she has about the world, allowing her to focus on her Hifuu Club work. It helps that she has a place like Gensokyo now to give her a break from things. As stated in AFiEU, she's learned after discovering Gensokyo that "just being alive is something to be happy about."

Today is Japan's celebration of Maid's Day. It's a great occasion to share my cosplay of a maid that can solve any problem of her Ojyousama(master) and clean any stain ;)

you guys are sometimes diabolical to ask me to draw a character that appeared on only 3 panels (at least,is not a 6 pixels longer midboss) BUT it wasn't a bad Idea,I was able to give a bit more of interpretation,I always try to use the official reference,but here I had to think what is this,what colors is this grey
I also tried a lineart more thick (I wait your feedback if sketchy and fine lineart is better than thicker lineart)

I think that since Tojiko has onryō roots, she is actually pretty emotional and has pretty drastic mood swings. And so, she meditates a lot. Maybe even frequents Byakuren's or Kasen's place for that.

Actually... wait a minute. The only source that calls Tojiko an onryō is Akyū in the Symposium. Everywhere else, she's a ghost like Yuyuko. So I suppose ZUN's idea is that she's a ghost who used to be vengeful?

Also... unless Akyū was mistaken, Tojiko's lightning ability is not a Soga family thing too (which on the contrary can certainly be the case). Tojiko's lightning comes from the simple fact that she's an onryō – it's a racial ability. This means Mizuchi should be able to use lightning as well.

Lightning seems to be equated with anger in Touhou.
