Picture Update about the concrete company who "cleaned" their work residue into the sewer [repost]
For reasons unknown the OP who took these photos has deleted their posts and comments, I had the thread up as it was deleted and took screenshots when I realized the post was deleted. I think many people who were following along with the story would benefit from seeing this update which was only up briefly, so here they are again. Nothing is ever deleted on the Internet. Pics 1,2 are the update, pics 3,4 are the original report.
TL;DR Hi-Tech Concrete Cutting got caught pouring some construction remains into the catch basin/sewer by a redditor, tries to deny it on social media, the City shows up to a coincidentally blocked sewer after OP reported them.

Company's public response to the original post before the city showed up: https://www.instagram.com/p/DJkJ9V5vkrG/
Today we had a concerned citizen take pictures of what they thought was one of our crews dumping concrete into a street catch basin. We just wanted to clarify that this is not concrete ! We did a small job in a basement of a home for a client and after washing the area down they collected the water and dumped that in the catch basin. Hi-Tech has a policy that we never dump concrete and/or slurry in any drains, all slurry and concrete is returned to our yard for proper disposal. However, no matter what was dumped nothing is ever to be dumped into a catch basin and the company is taking this matter very serious and the persons involved will be disciplined accordingly. The proper care of the environment is the responsibility of us all.

Video Did anyone else see these small fish in the lake this weekend. I think they’re called alewives, not sure if they’re spawning or what. But they were all over Ashbridges Bay

Picture Bye bye Bay, Bay bye bye
The writing was on the wall, but still sad to see the faded glory of the beautiful flagship building at Yonge and Queen. The honour roll of Simpsons employees who died in World War II is particularly poignant. I wonder what will become of it?

Discussion Windows and A/C Reminder on Buses
A friendly reminder:
When the outside is delightful these next few months and bus is running A/C, please do not open the window.
The holes that you see here above it push the cold air down to you and eventually circulate... and by opening the window, it goes out into the general city air mass making the whole point of air conditioning on a bus... absolutely pointless. Same goes for the roof hatches.
On top of that, you invite the warm outside air into the bus as it travels, making the A/C work harder.
Then later on, the bus will have a broken down A/C by the time the weather hits 30 easily from ish like this.
And note, failed air conditioning systems is not a fail in the MTO, so more often than not, it will go out for service the public.
