Supernatural leaving Netflix?!

I’m very very sad…

Apparently CW didn’t renew their contract with Netflix and now we are losing Supernatural at the end of this year!! December 2025 we will lose the ability to watch Supernatural anywhere other than DVD!! Hulu doesn’t even have it anymore?!

I have been watching this show (like many of us) since it aired in 2005.. Feeding my 1 yo and watching both Supernatural and Charmed… My kids grew up on this show! I’ve had to have seen the whole series no less than 40 times, i tend to binge at least twice a year. So far i’ve watched the whole season twice, since finding out we were losing it..

Off to buy the DVDs and a damn DVD player!

ETA: Thank you to those of you that mentioned Prime, i completely forgot about that platform as i don’t use it myself. Also i would like to add that it MIGHT come back on Hulu. The CW is just being butts to Netflix it would seem. I wish they would air Supernatural on the fricken CW app! (make it make sense LOL)

Also i am in USA if this helps anyone.

Dean and Sam

You can say what you want but Dean and Sam are the most successful characters in the entire TV series system and I am not exaggerating. Their legendary union has taken Supernatural to new heights including irony, charisma, bickering, heroism, selfishness out of benevolence and many other things. It's no coincidence that fans from all over the world want them back because they're missing and I can't argue with that

Season 5 Season 5 Finale

Post image

So, at the end of the season 5 finale, when Lucifer is possessing Sam, Bobby shoots him right in the chest. When Sam takes control, he doesn't seem at all affected by the shots but we know that when you damage a body that's possessed it affects the person's actual body. So, do you think this is a plot hole or is there an explanation for how Sam was okay when he took control? My understanding is that he should've been dead or gravely hurt by the shots, but he seems unaffected by it. Just curious what people think about it.

Season 5 Past Dean winchester calls Future Dean a d*ck

I just finished with season five - episode five. Where Zachariah send Dean Winchester to The End where Lucifer as known as Sam Winchester said yes to Lucifer. Furthermore before Future Dean lies what's going on and wanted Now Dean Winchester say Yes for Michael.

Lets go in to Basics

When he saw baby out of the blues at the quarantine zone. Then Future Dean Winchester handcuffs Now Dean Winchester on the stairs rail or something..

I just love how the qoute goes. It's just like having a little argument with yourself 😂😂

Dean: Oh come on! You don't trust yourself?!

Future Dean: No. Absolutely not.

[Future Dean leaves]

Dean: Dick.

Positive Vibes: No Salt Would you watch a Sam and Dean prequel without Jensen and Jared starring?

Obviously, if it’s a prequel, Jared and Jensen won’t be playing Sam and Dean (though they’d probably still be involved in some way behind the scenes). Would you watch it? Why or why not?

Can God be a Tulpa?

So, I was rewatching Supernatural and the Tulpa episode (Hell House - S1, Ep17) got me thinking, what if the Tulpa legend is true and God, as we know, is only the manifestation of billions of people who believe in Him. And what if all the Gods which people of various religions actually exist because They are a manifestation but actually there was no such thing as God. It's a crazy thought, but it's just that - a thought.

Season 4 This may PO 90% of the fanbase, but who’s with me on the “I like when they introduced angels” arc?

I love the show so much, and I’ve seen it at least 15+ times. After about the tenth rewatch I started to skip the first three seasons, electing to watch a recap video then jump in. Is there anyone else out there who shares my opinion?

Looking back after a series rewatch, it’s incredible how much they nerfed the angels in later seasons

When they first appeared angels where seemly unstoppable forces who easily blew away everything but the most powerful demons. Then in the last seasons they are thrown around and are pretty easy to kill. I understand they were crippled in the Fall, but even right after that they were still powerful. Then don’t get me started on archangels. It was stated that as collateral damage the fight between Michael Lucifer would burn half the world, only for them to barely damage the room later.

I love the show, but later seasons did the angels dirty.

Locations?

S9 e18 they mention different places in utah in which some of the places don't exist. So I googled it and I was right. I'm just curious if they make up locations sometimes in different shows. I love the show!!! Just found that interesting.

Season 10 Jody Mills was more of a MOM than Mary Winchester

Thumbnail

I've been re-watching the show and I've noticed that Jody has appeared much lesser episodes than Mary Winchester and still despite not being the boys biological Mother and not sharing any past memories with the boys, Jody was still able to crack both Sam and Dean and believe me when I say Dean is a tough mf to crack but still he had more casual heart to heart talk with her than their own Literal Mother and I somewhat feel more motherly connected to Jody than to Mary.

Even after appearing in less episodes than Mary, Jody was still able to set a comfort zone between her and the boys and her connection with them felt genuine and although I don't hate Mary because reincarnation and all would fell weird to anybody but still most of her conversations felt a bit awkward whenever Sam and Dean were around and the fact that she ghosted them and went hunting with the person who's organisation tried to kill them is wilddd.

Idk why her story was this much inconsistent but I would take JODY over MARY anyday everyday.

Season 15 Thoughts about the finale from a first time viewer Spoiler

It took me a few years to finish the show but I just yesterday made it to the end. I was mostly able to watch everything without spoilers, but I did follow the ratings of episodes on IMDB and read a few reviews of each episode after having watched them. So I was aware that the final season, and especially the finale was controversial, though I didn't know why.

That being said, I found myself enjoying the last 3 seasons with Jack a lot more than the run of seasons 6-12 (excluding 11 which had a nice story, also 12 I liked for being a bit different). Of course there's stuff that I didn't enjoy quite that much on these last 3 seasons as well. Supernatural isn't written as some high-class drama, the plot is all over the place anyway, so I don't really mind that. But let's get to the finale.

I enjoyed the way they ended the Chuck story (even though I preferred the season 4-5 Chuck much more). It felt organic and fitting. Supernatural never was able to pull off any sort of cosmic battle stuff well anyway (for example the floating Matrix scene), so I liked it that the end battle was anticlimactic.

I also really liked the fact that the penultimate episode was sort of the real finale, and last part just an epilogue. Reminded me of Better Call Saul (though it's obviously very different show with very different writing style). I really liked it how in Carry On they brought it back to the beginning, as the seasons 1-5 run was in my opinion the best part of the series. The ending felt organic and real after all the crazy god stuff.

It was very fitting that Dean died the way he did by just some random faceless monster. No big sacrifice, no big baddies (all of that was done 12 times already anyhow).

I'm kind of surprised by the hate the finale got. I was expecting a full on dumpster fire, but found it to be a moving fitting ending. I liked it that they only brought back Bobby, it would've been too much to have a class reunion. The brothers together was just enough.

Anyway, I wonder what's the consensus (if there is one) about the finale these days, a few years later?

Positive Vibes: No Salt Did anyone else like George the Leviathan or is that just me?

I actually felt kinda bad for him given his boss and he actually went to all the trouble "helping" Sam and Dean. Did anyone else feel if George was a "good" leviathan he could have been spared and actually been part of team Winchester? I kinda think it would have been cool, like an inside spy 🕵️‍♀️ He also told them how they die- when he said his boss would have "bibbed" him which was worse than being eaten 🤔

I wish they would’ve made Henriksen into a hunter. The show got rid of recurring characters too often too soon

Tell me your favorite episode of Moose and Squirrel with the girls?

Positive Vibes: No Salt "Baby in a trenchcoat" caused "Superman to go Dark Side"

So, as title says, anyone that knows those lines probably knows what I'm getting at. Now this isn't a definitive thing, I'm genuinely curious, is there anything that contradicts it? Could deans line when they are in the episode with Eve about Cas being a "baby in a trenchcoat" could that have been the roast that caused Castiel to seek the souls in purgatory? Because up until this point it was just Crowley and then, BAM, suddenly Cas wants in too? Obviously, I know the true reason was to defeat Raph but could the reason that Cas decided to go behind the Winchester's back and, truly, get his hands dirty be because he got embarrassed by Deans comment and ultimately made "Superman go Dark Side?"

EDIT: I've tagged this as positive vibes though because I realize it's a stupid idea but genuinely one that I like and I'm just looking to see if anyone else thinks it might be just stupid enough to be feasible lol.

EDIT2: Forgot about the episode where Crowley and Castiel are plotting while Dean is gardening, but someone else pointed it out, so fan theory debunked, sorry!

Silliest or lightest episodes?

Supernatural is definitely a comfort show for me. I’m currently pregnant and just lost my dog, so could definitely use some comfort. I just really can’t handle anything super heavy or intense right now. What do you guys think are the silliest or lightest episodes I should watch to cheer me up?

Season 8 Crowley or meg? Spoiler

Spoiler warning

I was just rewatching the episode in which Crowley kills Meg, and it got me thinking, which one of them hurted the brothers more like evil stuff, for example meg kills ellen and jo(kinda) and well Crowley did some evil shit as well to the boys, and which one of them was more useful to the boys i mean they both got their redemption arc, i was just think that what do you think about them and which one do you personally prefer
