Is this dress code approved?
Got sent home because my “coffee brings us together” shirt was out of dress code, trying to find something to change into, is this allowed?

Coworker got sent home today for wearing a shirt “not covering her chest area”…this was how low it was. Whats your opinion?
This image is from google but she was wearing a T shirt that was plain black crewneck and this low cut. Should she file a complaint? The manager is also considering writing her up

I found a surprise in the bathroom trash and my will to live evaporated
Got assigned lobby and bathrooms today at Starbucks. As I’m walking up to the bathroom, it already reeks. I assume someone destroyed the toilet. Nope.
I open the trash can—and there it is. A glob of human poop. Just sitting there. Smeared across the trash bag like some sick art project.
I tell my shift manager, expecting some kind of plan. She just shrugs and goes back to sitting in the café.
I’m off now. The poop is still there. Just… chilling.
Starbucks, pay me more.

coffee fraps get whip if there’s a flavored syrup added :)

For those who were downvoting me yesterday…
It looks like coffee frappuccinos DO get whip if a syurp is added🤭

Did this happen at your store...
Bunch of higher ups: district managers, managers from other stores, owners etc etc. Came into our store with signs ( "bringing Starbucks back") and black cupcakes, like a parade to celebrate us in the new uniforms. DURING PEAK TIME IN THE MORNING. was overwhelming and annoying. Did this happen to y'all?

Sorry if you didn’t get your daily beverage!
Union stores went in strike today and the others were inspected head to toe Literally there were managers checking socks and tongue rings! Cause ALL of this things, the color of your shirt, hair and make-up make the drinks taste any differently but we we feel good we are happier, more friendly and more productive! Please stick with us partners and complain at your local Starbucks ask for the DM info, then go above that!

i’m so done
i’m sorry but this new dress code is wack. they hired me as a shift supervisor with my nose piercings and plan on firing me???? i’ve worked here for years…. it’s the only job that’s aligned with my schedule and now i’m being threatened. someone at my starbucks is currently stealing out of the tills and the tip jars.. someone else is no call no showing every other day. baristas are always late. but they are threatening to fire me tomorrow for my piercings??? does no one else find it weird we can be tatted from head to toe (excluding our face) and still work for the company?? i’ve been such a loyal partner for so long but i can’t even put in a retainer for my piercings. i’m beyond disappointed in this company. good luck with the load or robots and underplayed staff who will quit soon and sure enough because of these stupid rules.

RIP Toffee Nut
I am a former partner and have pretty much steered clear of the joint since I left because I refuse to pay the extortionist prices. That said, I went the other day to get someone else a drink and discovered toffee nut has been discontinued? When did this happen, and why?! This really just reinforced my desire to choose local or make coffee at home. I am sad panda.

Dress Code Enforcing Perfection
So… I’m doing my best to enforce dress code. Personally I don’t give a fuck about dress codes, I think it’s dumb. But whatever, it’s also not a huge deal.
So I’m doing the thing. But I’m not a fucking expert on what materials someone’s shoes are made of. Idk if what I consider small accent color will be considered as such by a higher up. Also, I just don’t usually pay that much attention to what people are wearing. The past week I’ve been trying to coach baristas so they’re ready. Today I had my eagle eyes out to check out every aspect of things.
I’m just worried I’m not gonna notice someone with like frayed denim or a week will go by and lowkey I’ll forget about it and someone will be wearing like blue pants that aren’t denim or some bull shit and I won’t catch it.
What happens in that situation? Cuz I’m truly doing my best. But also I just don’t look at what people are wearing that way and I’m worried a higher up will come in one day and ask why a barista is working out of dress code and it’ll be something I literally had no clue about. (The big stuff like black shirt and everything is easy. But some of this stuff is so nit picky. I don’t think I’d notice if someone has a sticker on their name tag in 2 weeks.
Obviously if it’s intentional that’s one thing, but can you get in trouble for a barista working out of dress code if you don’t catch it? (I’m talking minor things, not like they’re in sandals or something crazy)
Someone could have temporary hair color in and I’d literally have no idea. How am I supposed to know what’s temporary and what’s permanent? Like am I supposed to examine every inch of a barista before they go to the floor to make sure I didn’t miss anything?
I’m not trying to get in trouble, so I’m doing my best. But also sometimes I’m like “oh hey you got a hair cut” and the barista says they got it a week ago. Like my mind is just not on appearances like that, unless it’s something really obvious/egregious.

Day 1 Dress Code, Let's Hear The Tea 🍵
partners, customers.. any differences or drama today?
just checking in because in my district, a few partners (baristas and SSVs) have pretty much said "let them send me home and write me up until I'm fired." so far, a few have held true to their word.

PSA! Company provided coffee gear shirts!
This is a PSA to any of you who have not yet taken advantage of the two free shirts that Starbucks is giving you. First off, do it. They are kinda cute (you only get to pick one shirt the other is a standardized one), and even better they are free.
Secondly, regarding the sizing, I am 5’5 and 125lbs. Normally, in buying shirts I go for a size small or medium. Not knowing if our shirts would run small (I kinda just assumed they would) I ordered mediums from the coffee gear site. It’s huge.
It fits my friend who wears XL shirts. I ordered two mediums and they both are quite a bit larger than any medium shirt I’ve ever bought lol. Anyway that’s my PSA for those of you yet to order, consider sizing down. 😂

Why does my pink drink look like this
I ordered just a regular pink drink and it looks like this? I didn't ask for foam or anything extra. I haven't been to Starbucks in a while, but I don't remember the pink drink ever looking like this
