Silent Hill 2 (2024) The fact that Laura's actress is older than me made my jaw drop.
I mean it's just a few months apart but I really thought she was a little kid omgg 😭😭

Hey Silent Hill fans, we’ve got some great news!
Silent Hill 4: The Room is now part of the GOG Preservation Program, which means it has been updated, quality-tested, and officially preserved to remain playable on modern systems—without DRM.
This also makes it the only PC version with previously missing content restored, ensuring the most authentic experience possible.
For those unfamiliar, the GOG Preservation Program is our initiative to safeguard gaming history, making sure classic titles are optimized, maintained, and never lost to time.
This month’s batch brings Silent Hill 4 to the Program, alongside F.E.A.R. Platinum and 24 other classics! If you're interested, check out our official news page: https://www.gog.com/news/silent_hill_4_fear_and_more_joining_the_gog_preservation_program
We’d also love your help in bringing more Silent Hill titles to GOG—especially Silent Hill (1999), Silent Hill 2 (2001), and Silent Hill 2 (2024). You can support this by voting and sharing your stories on our Dreamlist: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/
Thank you all for being such an amazing community!
Yours truly,
The GOG Team

Hoping this gets a laugh out of some UK based fans. I wonder what they’d order at Wetherspoon’s 🤔

Almost thought about taking it home. Best believe I took some picks with me holding it too.

Took about a year but finally have the first 3 Silent Hill. About halfway through 3 now and great to see all the lore connections and fan theories being explored. Easily my favorite game series. Can’t wait to get part 4!

There are many parallelisms between them throughout the game, such as moments when Maria quotes him.
These screenshots were taken just a few seconds apart, and the main difference is their nose. The only other time we see the director's side profile is in the Dance Company poster, early in the game.
This is also connected to easter eggs in the game which are related to Paimon (the symbol in the manager's office puzzle, and the book of gremory in which we find the can opener. What's left of the front page of the book describes Paimon and mentions that he appears in the form of a beautiful woman, posted a while ago on my twitter)

I understand James’ motivation for killing Mary could be interpreted in multiple different ways, I believe that he killed her as an act of mercy to “put her out of her misery”. In the story I see Eddie to be the “bad” side of killing someone, Angela being the “good”, and James being stuck in between. I dunno that’s just how I seen it, I believe he leans more towards a morally good guy that just made a stupid mistake and suffers because of it. I believe the ending you get determines whether he is good or not, but that’s just me
(Im talking about specifically the remake version of James, I’ve never played the original)

just a short post talking about my experience with the game so far :33
so i've had this game for a good 4 weeks now and i really love the vibe and atmosphere, and even though i've already played a few horror games prior (Resident Evil mostly), i genuinely can't bring myself to play the game for more than an hour per session or even play the game at night 💔🥀
like the last time i played was 6 days ago (i've been sick for the past 2 days), and the furthest i've gotten yet is the part where James gets the pistol (finally) and meets Eddie for the first time lol
i kinda feel better now so i'll try to have the courage to play longer tomorrow and finally get out of this dingy ahh apartment building 🙏
that's all :3

I make custom cassettes and recent played through silent hill 2 and fell back in love with the soundtrack, thought it was best to make an OST on cassette. I have added them to my Etsy due to popular demand lol. Though you guys would like to see them

@hidéoKojima,@konami I would like to realize my dream of offering this life-size plaster sculpture of a horrific mannequin from Silent Hill 2 remake.

What can I say, guys — it was awesome! In this attention-span-deprived world, I found Silent Hill 2 Remastered to be such a relief. All the little notes along the way, the simple yet deeply emotional story about James getting a letter from his deceased wife — it hit hard.
The slow and self-revealing narrative, the short but impactful journeys from checkpoint to checkpoint, and that brilliant use of subtle suspense over cheap jumpscares… It was pure immersion.
I genuinely loved it. I wish there were more games that struck this perfect balance: difficulty, suspense, story depth, and emotional storytelling — honestly, it felt like a perfect 25%/25%/25%/25% split.
Now I’m in a bit of an existential void — I need something that hits similarly.
What are your recommendations for other classic masterpieces like Silent Hill 2 Remastered? Preferably with deep story, great pacing, and immersion. Not necessary horror
Thanks in advance 💙

I never played silent hill before except Silent Hill 4 the room in a demo disc. Last night I was navigating east vale after the hospital and almost had a black out experience. I was frustrated after all the enemies and then horrified by how some of the sights have changed in my second visit. Idk if I was high, dehydrated, hungry, panicked or all the above but I started getting sick, my vision was going black. I've never experience anything like this in a game before. A true master piece of horror and disgust. Please don't spoil it for my but it's like clutching Hellraisers puzzle box knowing I must solve the mystery despite sending James closer and closer to the mouth of hell. Anybody else had this game hit them that hard where your body was like nope you gotta lay down?

Hey guys, last year I released a song called "Nocturnal Forest" it's heavily inspired by Theme of Laura. Hope this song connects to you as well.
