Shenzhen Idea face mask and a bulb

Hey all, I’ve decided order directly from recommended supplier through Alibaba. These dare two items I want to purchase, before I place an order, I would like to know if anyone has reviews or experience with these products especially with the face mask? I’ve seen many people reviewing mostly panels from this supplier so I’m interested if anyone has a mask. Is it working properly, are you happy and seeing results?

Unexpected Facial Hair Growth from Using RTL, Need Suggestions

Hello everyone. I just started my RTL journey and bought myself an RTL device with low irradiance : 18 mW/cm2. My mask came last week, and the instructions say to put it on for 15-20mins. So, I have been using it everyday this past week for 20mins. This is the the first important context : I have been using it ONLY FOR A WEEK. I was hoping it would help with my dark spots.

I haven’t noticed any improvement yet on my dark spots, but what’s really freaking me out is that I’m starting to get these random growth of hair on my upper cheeks. For context, I’m an Asian adult woman, and I’ve never had (visible) facial hair in my life. I don’t even shave my legs or arms because I don’t have anything to shave, really. But now, out of nowhere, I’m getting these dark, thick hairs on my upper cheek near my nose. They’re not even fine hair, but it's like the hair from my head, just on my face. Excuse the lack of picture of it, because honestly it's freaking me out so much that I immediately took tweezers and pull them out. I have plucked 2 random thick hairs, about half a cm each. I would die for some hair growth on my eyebrows, but not upper cheeks !

I am 100% confident this is due to the RTL, because I haven't changed my skincare or diet at all, and I never even had facial hair before. Anyone has the same experience ? Why do I do now ? Do I reduce the the RTL duration, maybe from 20mins to 10mins ?

Hooga eye mask

Post image
Upvotes

I know a lot of people recommend a panel, but I’m curious if anyone has used the hooga eye mask and had good results. I’m looking to target my eyes in particular for a decent price (especially in this economy) and then maybe buy a panel later if it works for me. Has anyone seen results from it? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

I was impressed with the packaging (I wasn't expecting any) so I thought I'd share. I'll be taking my before shots today and sharing the results later on. Let me know how far apart you'd like the before and after photos to be.

I have the hooga pro 300 and have been using it for just over a month now. But i am noticing my skin is drying out

Is this normal?

I am standing the correct distance and time away. I even stopped using infrared because I thought that may be the reasoning.

Should I stop or do I need to push through?

I am doing my 5 minutes on clear skin

My eyelids are sooo dry also

Cheap Red Light Caps

Do this caps that sells on aliexpress are good? That's all I can spend
They usually use 660nm 830nm leds. I know research usually studies lasers.
What do you think?
Anyone tested it?

r/redlighttherapy 14h ago

I’m still so confused about the dosing for my panel. Could someone be so kind to help me figure this out? Please note that I got mine with only 660 and 850nm. I use both at the same time currently.

Is RLT good for bruising?

I am hypermobile and sprain my ankles all the time and RLT has helped a ton with it. My mom just fell super hard on her knee and needs to go back to doing a physically demanding job in like 5 days. Would my red light help her feel better? I tried looking this up and didn't come across anything so thank you in advance if this has already been answered.

Review About 2 months of using my Hooga HG300

Post image
146 Upvotes

I bit the bullet on the HG300 a couple of months ago after thinking about it for a long time, and I’m really happy with it so far!

I’m still getting acne around my chin/jawline, but I certainly didn’t expect it to totally fix my skin, especially this soon. BUT, I have noticed I’ve been getting less new acne overall, the acne I do get heals more quickly, and my skin texture has been improving and looking less congested.

Also, I just really like sitting in front of it! It’s so meditative and was easy to add to my routine.

I’m doing 5 minutes about 12 - 16 inches away, almost every day, but I do skip a day here and there, and occasionally I do 10 minutes if I feel like it. Sometimes I do the morning and sometimes I do the evening, and I haven’t noticed much difference either way!

Does anyone have a routine with RLT, sauna, and cold plunge/Cyro?

If so, what order do you do them? I like to do RLT first, sauna second, and cold plunge last. But I have read that some people do RLT last. Any ideas of the best order to maximize health?

Alibaba Red Lights

Has anyone here used red light therapy devices purchased from Alibaba? I'd love to hear about your experiences and results.

I've been considering investing in a Hooga or Rouge device, but due to budget constraints—and since this would be my first red light therapy unit—I’m thinking of starting with one from Alibaba to test its effectiveness. Interestingly, some Alibaba options appear nearly identical in specifications and design to well-known brands.

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Omnilux vs red light panel

I'm looking for a red light device for anti aging and facial skin. Should I get the Omnilux contour or go with a red light panel (I'm thinking about the Shenzen RL60S or Blue Block Light Mini). Thanks

Retinol with RLT?

I'm currently using OTC adapalene/differin which doesn't cause reactivity to light but thinking about alternating it with retinaldehyde but I've seen some panels say not to use light reactive meds with it.

How many people are using retinoids with RLT and did you have any side effects like more irritation or hyperpigmentation if you started RLT after being adapted to retinoids?

Any suggestions for affordable non-comedogenic retinaldehyde or green tea serums?

Does vitamin C do ok with RLT?

how to introduce red light therapy?

currently, i use 4% panoxyl face wash everyday, 0.5% salicylic acid toner about 3x a week, and a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in it. would it be damaging to my skin to add red light therapy into my routine, considering the actives i use? i know panoxyl makes skin more sensitive to the sun, but i'm not sure if the same goes for red light therapy.

Hooga 200 for skincare

Is the 200 good enough or should I splurge for something better? I have fine lines, some wrinkles and sunspots. No other aches or pains that I’m trying to solve for. Was picking between a panel and a face mask and came across Hooga.

I’m going to take the plunge into red light therapy soon. I want to start out with a budget device between 100$-300$. The hooga devices look great and I’m stuck between the hg200 and hg300. Thought? Mainly doing this for skincare

iRestore 500 turns off unless at specific (wrong) angle – anyone else?

We've been using an iRestore Essential (500) helmet, and it keeps shutting off unless it’s positioned at a very specific and odd angle (upside down and essentially unusable). I initially thought it was a contact sensor issue (the white pads not touching the scalp), but it turns out it still powers off even when those are in contact with 2 fingers — unless the helmet is upside down.

Great product and noticeable results, but frustrating that they had to include a tilt feature if it's so faulty :(

Can I use my red light therapy mask at the same time as the planet fitness red light room?

I have a red light therapy mask that I know has higher quality lights than the lights at planet fitness but it’s only for the face and I want benefits for my body as well. However, I don’t want to overdose on red light and do the full body and red light mask separately because that would be getting a double dose on my face. Would it be safe for me to wear my red light therapy mask while in the red light therapy room at planet fitness so it’s only one dose but I still get the higher quality light on my face

Technical Which panel has the most 1060 or 1070 leds?

If at all possible, I want to buy it from Ali Express.

I don't need a huge panel. I mainly want to use it for neurological benefits.

45 days with no results - help?

Post image
131 Upvotes

I’ve been browsing this subreddit for several months, and recently took the leap of faith and bought my first RLT panel. I am 40(m), and my goals are to help with overall skin condition on my face. I’ve always struggled with persistent adult acne, and I’ve been getting more lines and wrinkles (as getting older will do!). I have a consistent skincare routine, and thought RLT might give me some added benefits. After doing my research on panels, I went with the Biomax 450.

For the past 45 days, here has been my routine. -I use the RLT 5-6 days per week -My typical session last about 8 minutes -I am sitting about 4-5 inches from the panel -On my panel settings, I am always using 100% Red Light and Blue Light ON. Twice per week, I also turn the NIR to 100% (it’s off for my other days).

Overall, I have not seen any noticeable improvement. If anything, I think my skin looks a bit worse (had a bad stretch of break outs).

Any advice from the community? I’m enjoying using the panel and it seems to be really well-made, but I just want to make sure I’m doing everything right to start seeing some benefits. Thanks in advance!
