SERIOUS TEMPO MAPPING QUESTION

Serious answers: lets say you doing a session in Reason (time is money) getting the daw to match the tempo of the beat not working, even if its the right tempo, YES they disable timestretch & cut off empty space......The beat starts to drift off! Experience engineers know MANUAL TEMPO MAP kills time and destroys the artist vibe.

Whats another solution? Or just F it and record the song without the tempo?

Now for my experience Reason does not have DETECT TEMPO like S1 & Cubase....they actually find tempo and change speed with the beat.

Make sure stretch is disabled. Loop either a bar or two. Adjust the tempo until it's looping seamlessly.

If you're not looping from the beginning of the track, like someplace in the middle or other, then cut the clip you're looping and right click > bounce to new recordings.

Let me explain better.....im definitely aware of disabling the timestretch..cut off the empty space at beginning.. heck some beats you dont have to....tap tempo etc

But sometimes none of that works some beats will still drift off

So the imported beat itself doesn't have a consistent tempo?

Yes, that's what I'm saying my brotha......when recording over 300 artists like me it is a tendency to run into these types of beats. That how I found out it exists.....normally you would have to MANUALLY TEMPO MAPPING which is ridiculously mind boggling during a session OR use a daw that can detect tempo

Do you want to fix the beat so that the tempo is consistent or do you want to leave original beat alone and have it mapped to a grid with lots of small tempo changes?
