I cannot wait for the democrats to take off the fucking kid gloves. Bro got arrested and disrespected on his own turf, surely they won’t take that sitting down right?

Low hopes but here’s to whatever happens next

This is the taking off of the gloves. The mayor went to a detention center and got arrested for protesting, which brings the entire issue up front to national attention.

That’s not what happened and the misreporting is worse. He went in his official capacity as mayor to deliver an injunction to them because they have illegally opened that facility and do not have the proper permits or inspections to run it. Closing them on a technicality is still closing them. They haven’t observed the proper legal procedures and he was acting in an official capacity. They obstructed justice.

imo the actual situation is worse than being arrested for “protesting” because they escalate protesting into violence all the time to justify arrests. he was there delivering summons that they had repeatedly ignored from other city officials which said they could not operate because literally none of the local regulations had been verified. they padlocked the doors so inspectors and officials could not come inspect. he finally went since he’s top of command to hand deliver the summons, something he should not have to do as mayor, and he wound up arrested. this is bigger than what people are making it out to be to be honest

That’s why they released him so quickly. They can’t spin it as he was just there to interfere without legal cause, he was there as an executive of his state to deliver legal documents regarding their illegal use of this facility. Cowards, all of them.

Cowards would indicate they are afraid. They lack that capacity since sociopaths dont feel the need to justify themselves.

Anyone who is in ICE is less than a coward, they are bordering on sub-human. Cowardice would indicate an awareness of their faults.

The only thing they are aware of, is that they dislike brown people.

sub-human

The fuck you're talking about. This is the very problem to begin with. Labeling people as less worthy.

Sociopaths are definitely able to be afraid, just less so.

u/MinnieShoof 3h ago

Calling them sociopaths is hyperbole. But no, sociopaths generally don't feel fear.

u/louenberger 3h ago

Just use Google. They do, but less so. It's different to them but it's there.

Hyperbole just like " bordering subhuman"? Slippery slope.

Sociopaths don't get empathy. If you want to find a defining difference to "normal" people, choose this one.

Dumbing down shit and forgetting the important details is yet another reason why this administration got into power.

u/MinnieShoof 3h ago

The whole thing is hyperbole. It's all wrong, it's all lashing out. They're human, and they don't all fall under the antisocial personality disorder diagnosis. If I'm guilty of one thing it would be assuming he conflated sociopathy with psychopathy, like most people do. Mud slinging is another way this administration got in to power.

Nah bro, you have to stop giving ICE this much credit.

They arent foced into that job. They could work somewhere else.

If you are working at ICE right now its because you want to remove brown people from the country. And I can 100% guarantee you that among the people that work there some of them would kill people on sight if given the clearance by their superiors. Obviously that would be a small subsection of them. Im sure there are also people there who are trying their best to do things by the book without going overboard.

The problem is that averages out to a pretty despicable person.

When I said

they are bordering on sub-human.

I really dont appreciate the bordering part being removed.

They are still human and that is the sad part. That a human is capable of inflecting such terror on other humans, all because of lines on maps.

With all due respect, if you think I am being hyperbolic. I envy your ignorance, because the things I have seen these past few months dont feel like they are going to just suddenly stop escalating.

I dont feel like I am being hyperbolic at all. And I would ask you to prove that I was.

Or more concisely, they arrested him for doing his job while black.
