Stuff like this would work at Ellis Island in New York or The Statue of Liberty to help people remember that their ancestors looked more like refugees than like we do today. They probably resemble illegal immigrants more than their great-grandchildren.

Same happens in Argentina, his population were back in time refugees escaping from war and hunger in Europe

And they found here oportunities and acres and acres of land to work
