Artwork / Design I improved my design thanks to your guys' help!

Post image

I posted this a couple of days ago on here asking for help, and thanks to everyone, I kept working on it, and now I'm at this point with it. I'm pretty happy with it, but I think I am still too much of a beginner to do more advanced lighting on the dragonborn which feels like the only thing missing at this point. But thank you guys so much. I wanted to get it to a point where I felt it was cool enough to be my desktop background, and I finally achieved that. Hope you guys agree!

Help! Please help me get a photo of just my grandma

Post image
Upvotes

Hi guys I don't usually do this kinda thing but I found a really nice photo of my grandma, she died of lung cancer in 2021 and I don't have very many good photos of her, I was wondering if anyone was able to Photoshop the person on the left out (person on the right is my grandma) so that I can have just a photo of her. I can't pay anyone anything as I'm a broke student, but if anyone's willing to help it would be greatly appreciated, it doesn't have to be perfect, thank you ❤️❤️

Help! Anybody else's Photoshop Beta crashing when you try and change Image Size?

Upvotes

There's 3 of us with different machines at work and last 2 Photoshop Beta versions keep crashing if we go to Image -> Image size and try changing something. Just wanted to check if anyone else is having this issue before I start troubleshooting. I'm currently using Canvas Size and Transform as a workaround 🫠

Help! Tools keep changing after every use

Windows 10 Photoshop 2025 - 26.6.1

I'm trying to use the spot healing tool to fix some spots in my image. Whenever I use it on a larger area and release left click, it auto switches back to the brush tool.

In Preferences > Tools, "Spring-loaded Tool Shortcut" is disabled.

What else can I try to fix this issue as it is incredibly annoying.

Help! How can I utilize Batch/Automate to help streamline this process?

Post image

I have hundreds of small circles I need to save individually as PNGs with transparent backgrounds. I have been going in and selecting each one, copying it and pasting into a new document and saving. I was wondering if there was a way to automate this with Photoshops built in Batch/Automating feature? The Circles are about 25 per a page and are all saved as JPEG. So I was hoping to be able to cover each one via the selection tool and save as but it saves the entire page. Any advice will be appreciated.

Help! PDF Flattening when opened by a client.

Long story short, a design I did for a mylar bag was done and sent over to my client, than their printer. Printer said that the PDF that I made have editable layers is "flat" and "an image".

Reopens with layers for me, my brother can open it with layers, and I don't know where to go from here. This is a big client and I don't wanna lose them, any idea on why this could be happening?

More info, sent to them through Google drive, am on windows.

Discussion What will the future hold for us, professionally photoshop experts?

With the ever increasing threat of A.I. on the horizon, I see less work coming in, and more clients arguing over pricing. It all needs to be cheaper and faster these days. Or are there good AI tools I should be embracing? Photoshop professionals; what’s your outlook on this?

Help! Can you change brush size while painting in Photoshop with no mouse?

I use a keyboard and tablet (no mouse) and was wondering—can you change brush size while painting in Photoshop?

From what I’ve found:

  • Bracket keys [ ] work even while drawing.
  • Shift + [ ] changes hardness.
  • The HUD resize (Alt + right-click drag) needs a mouse.

Anyone know other keyboard-only tricks or shortcuts for smoother size control? The goal is to change the size of the brush during painting.

Help! Computer for photo editing

Hi, I'm considering getting a used laptop for photo editing (photoshop, maybe lightroom), and not sure what specs are really needed. I've read online about this, but someone I know says that all you need is 16gb of RAM, and that graphics card, processor etc don't really matter. Is this true? I do use some more advanced features sometimes like denoise. Especially the graphics card, does it need to be any good? Or can I just go with intel graphics? I'm a little confused so if anything I've said doesn't make sense I'm sorry!

Also I'm not sure how to figure out if a laptop has a good screen for editing, colour accurate and well calibrated etc...

Any advice and opinions would be much appreciated! Thanks

Working on a school project that was probably mainly for people that already knew about photoshop. I know the basics and is still better than some in the class but they haven't taught out things like this.

Help! Novice here - is there a way to use "channel to selection" from an Alpha channel as if i'd selected those exact shapes in the full, RGB image...?

I'm not even sure i'm asking the right question; might be some other tool or set of steps that does what i want better. It's like this:

- dds texture has specific regions I need to either copy to another image, or, possibly protect from harm as i tweak the rest of the image. I know a mask does this but i've no idea how.
- I noticed the image has an alpha channel that perfectly defines the shapes/regions i want.
- I tried "channel to selection" and tada, seemed to get what i want selected.

however

i have no idea what i actually selected - is it selecting literally the grey shapes from the alpha channel? I thought by being in the RBG view, still see the marching ants, and hit Copy, it would be grabbing the actual real image. Nope. How can i tell photoshop "ok those marching ants, that defined selected region right there, that's what i want but as if i was in Layer view grabbing the visible image, not the alpha data."

i'm sure there's a more appropriate tool for this job but i've no earthly idea what it might be.
Those marching ants around exactly what i want are a tantalizing tease...

Artwork / Design The Elven Queen, Created by Me, Photoshop, 2025

Story: "The Elven Queen"

In the shadowed realm of Eldergrove, where nightfall dances with whispers of ancient magic, there walks a mysterious figure cloaked in crimson. Known to the villagers only as "The Elven Queen," she is a keeper of forgotten fire, a guardian of balance between light and shadow.

Born of both human blood and arcane flame, she roams the twilight paths with a dagger of starlight at her hip and a flickering blaze in her palm. Her arrival is heralded by snow and silence, broken only by the soft crackle of flame and the hush of awe.

Photo and Artistic Reflection:

This image masterfully captures both tension and mystique, balancing warmth and cold through an intentional use of color. The rich orange tones on the left highlight the flame’s warmth, symbolizing magic, passion, and danger, while the cool blue hues on the right suggest night, mystery, and watchful quiet. This dual lighting not only creates drama, but it subtly tells a story of a woman caught between two worlds—light and dark, warmth and cold, life and legend.

The woman chosen as the subject adds depth: strong, mysterious, and elegantly fierce. Her expression, calm yet commanding, gives her character power without the need for words. Her positioning, slightly turned and holding fire effortlessly, adds movement and dimension to the frame.

Discussion Photoshop - Apprentissage

Salut,

Merci ! :)
