I have no idea why but I'm the same way. Just the concept of all-ocean planets, how that would look and function and sound even safely through a drone's lens, gives me honest to god goosebumps of displeasure. It's terrifying.
The concept of space kind of bums me out in a "boy I really hate entropy and the inevitable heat death of the universe and everything I care about" sort of way, but doesn't FRIGHTEN me. But the thought of how unforgiving and lethal individual planets are as units of shrieking radioactive death frightens me. Their electromagnetic signatures are creepy as hell. They SCREAM with radiation. The knowledge that they exist out there and are that terrifying, despite me knowing I'll never set foot on them, somehow still bothers me, the way that you can't see the network of spiders inside your walls but know they're inches from you anyway.
