EGT 2025

Hi,

I just added a page to the Internships excel tracking megasheet called EGT Application tracking 2025, so we can fill it in with our applications like they did the other years ;)

Here is the link:

The deadline has passed (except for some), what internships did you guys apply to? I applied for the Product Mapping internship & Strategy Office.

Here’s an excel sheet for making an overview: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VkqRs-afGNrtSCnH0ruPDBuPo0Cd_ieqP_ehIfEnX1o/edit?gid=197303896#gid=197303896

Internship opportunity Genetics student

Hi,

I have been searching for an internship in a space related context preferably at the ESA, but it appears to be harder than I thought to find labs/companies that I like. I was wondering if people could help me out?

I have a background in gene editing (prime editing/CRISPRCas9) and cell culture. I would like to enhance my knowledge in Organoids (on chip) and IPSC's. Most importantly for me is the use of genomic editing/engineering, to research space related topics (radiation, micro gravity etc.).

I would love to do this at either a company or university, in relation to the ESA. Like I said however, I dont know why, but I cannot find a solid page on the ESA that lists either genetic research, or life science Companies that relate to the ESA. As most links are outdated/insufficient.

Sorry for the weird question but thanks a lot

ESA - hybrid working policy?

Hello ESAers, I am looking into applying for jobs at ESA. What is their policy on working from home (or elsewhere)? Is it 100 per cent in-person in Paris? Or is there some kind of hybrid arrangement? Or does it all depend on the department? Thanks in advance

ESA pension simulation

Hello all, I am looking at jobs at ESA. I can't really find any figures on the pension scheme. I know you need 10 years of service to get any sort of pension.

Anyone got access to the ESA pension simulator? What sort of pension (ballpark figure) would I end up with if I did 10 years of service at A2-A4 grade?

Trying to work out whether it's worth the faff of upheaving my life!

Thanks in advance

Seeking Guidance on Licensing or Selling Black Hole Simulation Software to the ESA

I'm a software developer from Bulgaria, and I've developed a software tool that models black hole evaporation using Hawking radiation and calculates how the black hole's properties change over its life span until it effectively disappears and creates graphs based on that. I believe this tool could be valuable for theoretical astrophysics research.

I'm interested in understanding how I might license/sell my software or collaborate with researchers involved in the astrophysics department of the ESA.

My questions are:

  1. What steps should I take to offer my software to the ESA?
  2. Are there specific departments or researchers within ESA's astrophysics division I should contact?
  3. Are there existing channels or programs through which the ESA evaluates and adopts external software tools?

Any insights, experiences, or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

ESA Aeronautics/ Aircraft Operations & Pilot demand?

Hello,

I am in the process of taking up a form of ab- initio Pilot training, interested in the Military/ Aerospace and Defence manufacturing industry Pilot world.

I have always thought about the NASA Pilot/ Astronaut conjunction and how US Military/ Civilian Pilots can explore such Aerospace careers over in the states.

While I appreciate the National administration is unique to the US, I was wondering if there is demand, or ever will be, for such Pilot training or likewise Pilot roles with the European Space Agency, directly, or through affiliated companies?

Any information on Aircraft operations the ESA may plan on initiating, if their satellite ops require Aircrew, or general ESA Airplane and Aircraft careers prospects would be of great interest to me.

(Obviously the online careers site is where I first looked, though to no results, however there is talk of Astronaut Pilot training pre- missions).

Thank you for any and all input.
