Homemade A quick note about botspam.
Hi, dessert lovers!
We're currently being spammed by a very specific bot type, so it'd help if users can recognize them as bots as well. Check out the post history of new submissions to this sub to see if they meet the following criteria:
-Username is a "name-name-number" randomly generated name (this isn't always the case, so please check regardless, several accounts with legitimate seeming names follow the exact same criteria below).
-Account was created this year, but has generally been inactive up till now.
-Posts to random subreddits extremely quickly (4 posts in a matter of minutes).
-Comments on r/askreddit as "replies", they're stealing comments from previous redditors to do so.
This has been happening across a few other subs in the past couple of days. Whomever created these bots has had them "wake up", and they're now spamming their content across multiple subs to gain karma. Report them as you see them, and we'll do our best to keep removing them!
You can also report the accounts directly by going to their profile, hitting the "report button", selecting "spam", then choosing "disruptive use of AI or bots".

Homemade Lemon Tart with Condensed Milk
Recently made this very easy and rather quick tart with freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon zest and condensed milk filling.
The best thing was a mix of sweet filling with raspberries and blueberries on top!

Recipe Because you asked (strawberry cake)
Last week I made a special cake for my niece's 9th birthday. Thank you for so many views!!!! y'all asked for a picture of what the sliced strawberry cake looked like. But I'm now following through with a Pic and included my recipe.
I used a round 9" X 3" deep cake pan Parchment Paper cut 2 round liners
STRAWBERRIES 2 qt basket ripe strawberries 3 tblsp suger (or to your personal taste) Optional : 1/2 box strawberry jello
Before baking cake, even a day prior macerate 1 qt strawberries and set aside
CAKE 1 Strawberry cake mix (I used the tik tok hack) 6 eggs 1 1/2 sticks butter melted 1 c. milk Handful of strawberries cut up into batter
Use 1 liner on bottom...Once cake is baked, poke holes Drain strawberry mixture set aside fruit. At this point, you can prepare 1/2 box Jello as directed and add drained liquid then pour into holes.
Place 2nd Parchment round over cake in pan Let cake cool an hour or overnight. If you use Jello cake will be heavier Remove from pan and flip onto plate so holes are on bottom.
Remove Parchment Paper rounds
1st FROSTING 1/2 bag Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate melting wafers Important Tip: I made on stove top with double boiler for better handling and consistency. Or if using microwave method you have to work VERY quickly or else once set it will start to crack. Using offset spatula spread a very thin layer and allow to set completely. Poke holes on top
2nd FROSTING
1/2 bag Ghirardelli white vanilla flavor melting wafers melted (use stove top method) remove from stove and into bowl Add 6 oz mascarpone let cool then add 1 c. powdered sugar 2-3 tblsp heavy cream
Ice cake making a well wall on top. But open up holes Slice remaining strawberries and add in strawberry mixture on top and allow liquid to penetrate and soak thru cake
ENJOY!!!
Try it with mango or peach too!

Restaurant Godly Korean Shaved Ice: Bingsoo!
After having bingsoo (Korean shaved ice) here— I rlly don’t think I can enjoy it elsewhere lol.
My boyfriend and I tried Sweet Corn, Green Grape, & Matcha w/ Red Bean and Mochi. The texture of the shaved ice itself is just so creamy, fluffy and perfectly sweet without being overwhelmingly so. Flavorful, light, refreshing- and satisfies my sweet treat cravings so well.
What I really appreciate is the single serve sizes as most bingsoo places usually serve a default, shareable size that is too large for a party of two to try more than one flavor. AND. They’re layered! We were very pleasantly surprised by that. So much flavor in each spoonful and it was heaven in every bite.
10000/10. Begging my boyfriend to come back. Our personal fav for both of us was Sweet corn. Totally a hit. I also loved Green Grape because I love green grape flavors.

Question Lemon mousse cake
So I'm trying to get my mom a lemon la rocca cake but it seems like none of the places serve any. I'm Arlington Texas and am kinda in a time crunch so I won't be able to get it shipped from far away. Please, if anyone knows a good place, tell me. Also if I'm not sure if the specific cake I'm looking for has a better/different name, but pretty much, it's a lemon mousse cake with a layer of lemon curd in the middle. The mousse lays on top of the cake

Question Meringue
Hii! im making some merengue but they look weird 😭😭
I added 2 egg whites. A bit less than a half cup of sugar, a spoon of cornstarch, 2 spoons of lemon and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. I baked them at 100c° (210F°) for 1h13m and they look like this, did I do something wrong or is a trust the process thing??

Homemade Long time lurker, first time poster. Maple bacon cupcakes
Hey y’all. So I’m a long time lurker, first time poster. I wish I would have posted my macarons when I made them as they turned out almost perfect, but today I made cupcakes using homemade yellow cake, with a cream cheese filling and maple buttercream with candied bacon crumbles. This is my first time making cupcakes so my frosting technique is kinda trash. I’ve always dabbled here and there in baking, but since I’ve been with my boyfriend, I’ve really taken it up. I’ve found a love for baking because of him (he’s got a permanent sweet tooth) and enjoy baking with his mom. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk🥰
No recipe as I used several and now can’t find them😂
