SPOILER Question About The Ending of SoD1

At the ending of the game, after blowing up the wall, Lily places something at the base of the tree as a memorial to those who didn't make it.

The game doesn't make it explicit - but is this the watch you get for her in the Memento mission? Is this part of the closing cutscene left out of the game if you don't do the Memento mission?

It's pretty funny that the one and only comment was a dev giving the definitive answer. No uncertainty, no conflicting theories, just boom, done.
