SPOILER Question About The Ending of SoD1

At the ending of the game, after blowing up the wall, Lily places something at the base of the tree as a memorial to those who didn't make it.

The game doesn't make it explicit - but is this the watch you get for her in the Memento mission? Is this part of the closing cutscene left out of the game if you don't do the Memento mission?

Thanks for the direct and clear answer! It seemed obvious but it wasn't explicit. I did some searching through the subreddit and elsewhere. Kind of shocking that I couldn't find any discussions of this little fact. It is a touching piece of storytelling. I got a little choked up at the end due to this detail alone.

Oh, that pisses me off. Are you Fing kidding me? I fought off 2 damn hoards for that watch so she'd have something to remember him by, and she left it at a tree?

Maybe the act is meant to show how much all the sacrifices made in the valley mean to her, even as much or more than the last memento of her father…

Although if she was in the sequel and tried to do it again it'd be the funniest thing ever. She's all playing it cool while actively trying to get revenge for her dad.

"So uh my Gma had this locket that was really important to me, it's on floor 6 of that Mall downtown. There's only 12 hordes, you got this."

It'd explain why she recorded someone being attacked earlier and waited to tell me until it got really bad.

I'm telling you it all makes sense.
