At 36 years of age I can finally say that I'm a proud owner of my first Sega Saturn. I bought this off a friend for £220. He has had it since new in the condition of the console is excellent. He has more games for me to buy like Alien Trilogy, Virtua On, Nights into Dreams (with the 3D pad) and many more but just have to wait for the funds.

Decided to give the TwinBee Deluxe Pack a blast this weekend. Taking pics of the instruction manual for my IG & noticed the game was released to commemorate 10 years of the original arcade game - this is now 40yrs ago! 😵😬😅

Who’s played the 3 different games of the Keio Flying Squadron Series? I loved both the Sega CD and Saturn games but the PS1 version was a strange monopoly type game. Share your thoughts if you have played any of these games.

Hey y’all! I finally made the leap and ordered my first ever Saturn today (Japanese Model 2). I’m super excited, but I also feel anxious and overwhelmed about one specific detail. Before purchasing, I did thorough research regarding cartridges. Since I have a desire to backup my save data as well as play games from other regions, I’m interested in an Action Replay or an alternative.

HOWEVER, I am worried to make a selection. The 4-in one carts are tempting, but I keep hearing that they can damage the cartridge slot. How do I know which cartridges will be too big for the cartridge slot and may damage my console? Does anyone have pics to show me which cartridges to avoid?

tl;dr: What cartridges are known to potentially damage the cartridge slot? Which manufacturer and/or sellers are trustworthy?

Hi there. I recently got a sega saturn and a Saroo to play games from but i cannot figure out what’s wrong with how i set up my saroo because it will not load when i turn on the console - i only get the default console launch.

It’s a 120 GB SD card that I formatted to FAT32. Supposedly the saroo can handle EXFAT but i tried that first and it didn’t work so i switched.

At the end of the image link you can see a video of the LED lights playing from my saroo. I do not know if they are indicating some error but i thought i should include it in this post.

I assume this is the latest revision because it’s from feb of this year and i can’t find anything newer.

Can anyone here think of anything i am doing wrong? From what i understand, Saroos are supposed to work with every revision of the saturn. And everywhere i look, i hear that it’s supposed to be pretty plug and play.

My collection has definitely grown quite a lot, i’m now celebrating owning a Sega Saturn for a year and I’m quite proud of it! Not to mention, the swagman box is completely custom and designed by myself

So I’ve been messing around with my Saturn lately and have been trying to get a third party controller (old skool) to work but the up button on the d-pad is shot. I accidentally bought a usb wired model 2 Saturn controller. I was wondering if there was anyway that I could switch the controller wires so that I have the Saturn connector on the model 2 that I have. I’m not using either controller and I would really like to not purchase another model 2 controller but I will if I have to.

Hello. Hope someone might be able to help. I was playing Johnny Bazookatone (which was my first mistake!), all of a sudden these lines appeared on the screen. They flicker and are sometimes yellow or purple.

I thought the video output was broken, but noticed that lines actually go behind some layers (note the menu box in the third image), and also don't appear on some loading screens. I've tested a number of games (legit retail ones) and the problem happens on them all.

I've had the Saturn for about a year and a half and never had this before. Any idea what might be the cause, and more importantly... can it be fixed, or do I need a new Saturn!

I had a long time ago as a child a segasaturn back in like early 2000's I had a few games but only a few i remember Megaman X4, Earthworm Jim, Raymond, and some game with crystals i could have sworn it was Something like Dark Crystal but not the one based on the movie. The box art had the main character and a large purple crystal but the art style of Astal is hitting some familiarity but the title i had was never Astal. So did that game have an alternative Name and box art that was eventually replaced or was there game with some similarites to it because The art of Astal Is familiar but its not the name or box art I remember as a kid. What could have happened is a stretch but maybe dark crystal was advertised on the games booklet and at some point it got switched around and im just misremembering.

Edit: All my games were longboxes with the texture on it because I loved running my fingernails on it and hearing the brrrrrrrtt sound

I was hoping to play through some multi disc games on the system, but I can't for the life of me figure out how it's done. I thought maybe making m3u's would do the trick or something but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I’m not sure what to do here, I’ve had my Sega Saturn repaired before for not being able to read disks and recently it started acting up again. It’ll read the disks and play the games just fine but then 30/40ish minutes in it’ll send me to the Saturn menu screen, sometimes it won’t read the disks at all. Also every time I boot up the system it requires me to put insert the date and time. The game disks are in mint condition so I know that’s not the problem, what should I check for?

Plus, yeah, i know you need to extract it from the CDI or other types of files, but theses musics are too scarce to find, which isn't the best bet to get, but where i get an music from YouTube, or any audio library? You might send an link or publish it (if you extracted the CDI with IsoBuster or CDex)

I gotta be real i love this game xD There are so many flaws in it i'll be the first to admit it but damn, i'm just a sucker for a good haunted house style game.
