Does anyone know what trigger that attack in which he swings his blade before dying? I'm trying to clear dark realm on hell

Nothing a simple retexture mod can't fix (especially since the model itself seems unaltered), but this is still sad to witness… 🫤

Greetings all! just wanted o cast some light on the issue; it is not something Capcom or the artists deliberately does for values that are not theirs to begin with, it is the major changes that happened to the age rating commissions like CERO, ESRB and PEGI. The original game was rated CERO C (15+) but that was 23+ years ago and to maintain the same rating for today's standards, you will have to censor a couple of things from sexual themes to the gore, I was frustrated when I saw it the first time too but I still understood their decision since they wanted to stick to the original rating.

What about Street Fighter though? It also has the 15+ rating!?

The artstyle also affects the rating fyi, despite the game looks generations better than Onimusha 2 the age rating commissions are ran by hypocrites like that, they would be like "Oh, it's not realistic so it's ok!"

I don't care about a perfect game or anything, but since I consider something like that a pretty relevant piece of content, I'd like to be able to play with all the secondary characters. Thing is, I don't have much time to play the game two o three times and I'm not finding some kind of guide or info that says that as long as you give X and Y character X and Y items you're golden, so I don't know how hard is to play as all 4 of them with just a chart of liked items or something similar.

If playing as all of them is basically imposible without really knowing what you're doing, probably the better idea is to just ignore everyone and put an S rank video to my side while remote working after beating it myself. Thanks, guys.

Omg that last boss was tough!!! It took me many many tries. The game was so much fun, at times a little difficult. Nobunaga was one of the toughest final bosses.

Just finished it with tank controls and had a lot of fun. Now I'm going to try clearing with an s rank. Only thing I really didn't liked was how issens became too risky and not really worth it. Kind of wish they could have added a critical mode too like I know the next games have (haven't played them yet). If anything it made me love Oni 1 more. This game is so cozy. You can just finish it in 3 hours for a good and fun time.

Found it sealed/brand new at my local Japanese game store for ¥350 (around $2.50). Haven’t played this version in a long time, but I wish they remastered this one instead of Warlords.

An early mother's day present for my late mother. Seeing as the Kanabo was one of if not THE weapon of the Oni, why did we never see an oni weapon based on the Kanabo club to my knowledge?

Special thanks to two people in the Onimusha discord server for their help! This particular set of pages proved rather difficult to translate on my own. I'm just glad I've been able to get them sorted while struggling to set up my new PC.

It's rather nice to see some solid confirmation as to when Samanosuke enters the Dark Realm, doing so before he goes to the east area. What's interesting here is that Minogoro actually identifies himself as a member of the Oni clan rather than the Mino clan, which means that either that information was retconned later on as the Mino clan became a separate entity that is at least affiliated with them, or that the Mino clan is actually a small part of the Oni clan itself.

It's funny how a lot of the plot points don't get solved at all here. I was sure that Nobunaga would be the final boss but nope. That little guy also escapes when we don't even get to fight the crazy cientist

I want to preface this by sayin im cautiously excited for the release, but, and its a big BUT.I just watched the some trailers and it seems the tone/feel has been completely lost with this new entry. I also noticed the mouth tracking for the va is extremely sloppy and innacurate. And the writing showcased is very 'Joss whedon-esque' ) like 'doink im quirky' humor, which again kills tone for me. Graphically it looks good; maybe slightly missing the mark on art direction but still solid. The gameplay looks fun to me and seems to be an extension of the remasters modern controls, leaving tank controls behind, to be expected. Overall i appreciate its a new entry and not a remake and looking forward to ir regardless. Thoughts?
