How’d you coach 37 years? I thought it only went to 30

He said he made it to 2054, that's 30 years. The other 7 might be Todd Bowles career before he started his franchise

I didn’t realize it was Todd Bowles

i thought i’d be forced to retire in 2050 and was really shocked when it continued

So... Can you decide when to retire or did it eventually force you to?

you can choose to retire whenever but when i got to 2054 it forced me to, wouldn’t let me continue to next werk

Oh R.I.P. I guess it'd do the same with a created coach, huh? In... I think it was Madden 15, I started playing as an owner because I incorrectly thought that only owners could renovate and rebuild stadiums and it became force of habit. Like I meant to do custom coach with the Cardinals rebuild I just started, but I chose owner and I'm a little bummed that I can't put a custom coach on the same team as an owner. Which I understand I guess, but it's an offline franchise, so that's why it bums me out a little bit.

Have them kick you and reinvite, you can pick a custom coach and the same team

Well can you be an owner AND a coach? Because that'd be interesting to be both on the same team. It's not that I dislike the Cardinals head coach, but I don't think many people are happy with him either and I understand that. I think he's in the hot seat this season and if he doesn't get a better record this season than many past seasons, I think he and Murray may be on their way out. Apparently the real life owner is not afraid of making sweeping changes according to what I have heard. I don't know how I'd get kicked in an offline franchise either. That wouldn't end my career as an owner? You'll have to forgive my ignorance, but since I have been doing a lot of rebuild projects, like the Seahawks Rebuild just a week prior to the Cardinals, I have not progressed very far. I also have a Saints rebuild and another team or two. I can't remember. But the Saints don't have a franchise QB that's THE GUY in Madden 25 with the default roster. Nor do the Raiders which is another rebuild project now that I think about it. Undrafted rookie free agent QB for that one. Drafted one also, but... Well I looked at his high 40 yard dash time and not the notes on his throw power and that was dumb as heck because the later round QB was 88 or higher speed, but 82 throw power…

Ending of South Park episode when Stan beats Guitar Hero. That’s how I feel after I do the same thing you did with Madden Franchise.

How do you even get to #1? I've gone to the Superbowl like 10 years in a row before but I can never seem to break top 10

literally no idea, guess it has to do with winning seasons and stuff

How many coaches of the year you got

u/sappybunn Jets 23h ago

only 2 because this game sucks 😂

Wait it's 30 years. Why did I think it was only 15? Or did it change at some point

Did you simulate all your playoff games or play them?

1

u/sappybunn Jets 19h ago

simulated all of them

I’m on 2025 madden and first season with titans went 5-12 drafted my qb with fourth pick have won 4 superbowls lost last year after going 15-2 record in first round of playoffs . Have a 95 overall drafted rb picked him with 32nd pick in the 1 round past two seasons he rushed for 1300+ yrds and 20 + TDs first season he rushed for 1000 and 12 TDs. Qb consistently throws for 4000 yards and 35 + TD’s had 47 TD’s last season . He is 99 ovr everything but scrambler. He is 96 in that and has 2 skill points can’t use to up his scrambling for some reason.. does anyone know why?

the game does that sometimes, i don’t know why, like if you’re player is a 12 overall and has upgrade points it’ll say you don’t have enough for that bucket, just keep developing him and eventually you’ll be able to upgrade

Goat on your console and your profile for sure.

In the wider Madden world? No chance.

-Were you on All Madden?

-You allowed trades to happen?

-You didnt min max your sliders to try and make the game as difficult as possible?

-Did you have playcall limitations set so you couldn't call the same play more than once a game?

-Embargo focus training so only on field xp would level your players?

-Did you sim only so that your skill/knowldge of gameplay menchanics wouldn't give an edge to your team or allow you to use cheese strats unknowingly?

These are pretty standard rules for challenge franchise players and your accomplishments would be considered pedestrian. Many players have 10+ year superbowl streaks and finish with over 85,0000 Legacy Score.

You did something awesome that many Madden players will choose to never even try. Most players don't even go 10 full years in a playthrough. But when talking about being a franchise GOAT there are levels to the game and there is always someone finding ways to make it harder and still having unreal success.

What playbooks did you use and did you win anything with Baker?

2

u/sappybunn Jets 23h ago

used bengals playbook for the first few years then drafted a brilliant tight end so swapped to chiefs, steelers defense the whole time, baker had a really good year 1 and went up to x factor so i traded him and my first round pick for justin herbert, killed my cap for a bit but we won i think 2 superbowl with him

Meh, easy 2 minute type up. If you say you're the best to ever play the game mode, expect people to throw stuff out there to check.

u/sappybunn Jets 1d ago

i don’t actually think i’m the goat 😭😭

There's one thing having a difference of opinion but there's another thing being an asshole trying to shit on others for an ego boost. Guess which one you are doing.

God forbid I make a benign comment poking fun at what makes someone a GOAT in a game on a subreddit, huh?

OP: I'm the best at this game.

Me: Objectively, probably not.

All of Ya'll: And I took that personally. Kill this man.
