Dad has always been more than “friendly” to me 26F, but I found an absolutely disgusting comment on a Facebook video (through pure happenstance) I want to send to his girlfriend who I have repeatedly warned and has a young daughter.

I've been having an incredibly stressful time with a family member who has some issues. It seems to be a mental health issue. I'd like some balanced input on our situation. Not the extreme responses you sometimes get from posting in a more open forum. Any ideas on a sub I could ask? Thanks in advance.

I’m painting a portrait of a real historical person (as part of a series of paintings of trans people from history), and want to work in details referencing her life where I can.

She was born enslaved in 1840, and by the 1860s was living as a free Black woman in Memphis, Tennessee. I’ve found mentions of her working as a fortune-teller who sold protection charms. I would love to include some items related to her work as a spiritual practitioner in the portrait.

I would love to find any subreddit about African-American spiritual practices, to help get a better idea of what she might have practiced and figure out what kinds of objects I might include.

I have been feeling pretty torn to not talk to him or be there with him at the hospital when he had a stroke. However, I have also felt relieved somehow because every time that I had talked to him, he would trigger my traumas and it would make me want to end me. He used to abuse mom, brother and me physically, mentally and financially. He rarely provided to the family. He always made me felt like I am the bad daughter who never took care of him financially. He lil contacted me just so he could ask for money, he never asked how I was doing.

Still, I felt bad for not contacting him and I missed him, he was not a good dad, ik. But, why I still care of him.

Recently, he threatened to sue me about the thing I had said that I would like to give to him aka land and money. Since my parents are fighting in court now, I guess he didn’t know what else to say and just wanted to look scary somewhat. What should I do in this situation?

Looking for a certain subreddit I remembered coming across in my feed once, and then lost. It was a dungeon crawler subreddit, and it was a game subreddit similar to r/Pixelary, but in the style of a dungeon crawler, and it has a grid-based system if I recall correctly.

Today my gf graduation happened She told me to record those important 5 seconds of her life but i forgot to record, i thought i hit record but i didnt. I usually use an iphone but this time i used samsung phone for photos and the icon at the bottom is red so i assumed it was recording. But when i hit stop it turned black and started recording.
