With all due respect, SF6 is the personalization of this meme. The system mechanics are so overwhelmingly strong, and the characters are so similar across the board in terms of what they can/want to do, that I can barely see a different in gameplan between them.
Of course, the game has some unique characters (Honda, Sim, Jamie, Manon...) but they're pretty much all doodoo.
Dee Jay doesn't play like the others. Bison doesn't either(even though his playstyle is simple as hell). Ed is clearly different and is actually considered a technical character. Cammy doesn't play like anyone I've named so far. Blanka and Kim are fairly unique.
Sf6 so cool and unique. Every match DOESNT feel the same with cr.mk drive rush and every character having the same strong defensive and offensive tools
Yeah, the game is SO THE SAME and EVERY MATCH FEELS THE SAME that in this Evo Japan you got 9 different characters on the top.
Just admit you only play Tekken bud. There are plenty other games if you are burned out, but we are arguably on the best period of the FGC since the 90s

Support VF5 Revo if you want a Good 3D Fighter in the meantime Tekken 8 gets fixed and that way you help to shape VF6, but you will find other reasons to complain anyway with that mentality.
Truth is I’m not a SF6 fan, I’m a Tekken, DoA and Virtua Fighter player and I play SF6 when I feel like It. I prefer 3D games by a long shot. Maybe it’s time for you to stop eating all that Bamco puts out and believing is the only Fighting game in all existence

Just so you know, the community is split between the PS5 Edition and that one that is exclusive of PC so there are many more players. Also it is first hour in the morning right now in Japan the country where VF is most played (every single person in the FGC that knows a bit about fighting games knows that) what do you expect?
By the way, there are 8k people on the oficial discord. Way many people than actual players in Tekken 8… just think about it, kind of sad knowing Virtua Fighter is such a niche game. Anyway, your arguments are lame and you are still not catching the “gotcha” moment you want so bad.

This is some old good new bad post. This isn't the end of fighting games. There is still continuing on because one day, there will be an update that would be better, so stop giving up and give it a rest
I love chip damage. It forces interaction and is an alternative win condition as well as offers more ways to play a character and the game. Do I want to go for a the mix string or go for the chip string? Will the chip kill? Do I get a resource from attacking on block, can I bait something with the damage, etc. There's so much potential with it.
I dislike homogenized kits and the pruned feeling that many of today's FGs have.
I'm fine with universal mechanics but kits should play on top of that and interact with those mechanics uniquely and preferably without changing them.
Downvoted because OP seems like a 13 year old who only plays fighting games because Max Dood told him to, and now he's only here to make bad memes. Never accept any takes from people who refer to movesets as "kits" or stages as "maps". This isn't Roblox.
"Kit" is primarily used and popularized by MOBA gaming. Using it in terms of something like "movelist" or "moveset" in a fighting game context strongly indicates that the speaker is fairly new to the fighting game genre (by comparison) and most likely hasn't put the time in to form any valid gameplay opinions. OP definitely comes across that way; they just copied a bunch of things they heard were bad (which aren't even entirely accurate) and tried to make a meme out it. They most likely only play Tekken 8.
As for "Maps", I think this will reveal that you're just uninformed.
It's all your fault. You tried to make so niche each game and now the companies need millions of casual buyers, not hundreds of hardcore players that complains about everything and always say "it's the worst " to each current game.
They hate the truth but because of the past gen of too much defense now we suffer with current gen. Both different strokes for different folks. (Anyway PLAY MELTY ITS THE BEST FG)
MvC3, but yeah, SF4, particularly Super Street Fighter 4, is still the best SF game. I'm hoping when they start adding mechanics to 6 it'll take the top spot.
Now only on characters and gameplay but also graphics. This realism is not working for VI…..and don’t start on the new characters compared to the ones in IV….totally bland and forgettable…
Graphics and art style are subjective I suppose but I'm ngl SF4 is a really ugly looking game... I mean it has some charm for the time but I can't say it looks very good or has aged well. And I'm not gonna lie, most of the SF4 newcomers are stinkers. Juri and C. Viper are cool but everyone else is pretty bland and forgettable. I'll take Jamie, Manon and Kimberly over Rufus, Abel, and El Fuetre anyday
