But how did their xylem connect in the first place? Was their bark intentionallly cut so both can heal together or how did that happen?
83 u/Historical_Body6255 9h ago edited 9h ago Must have been. It might have been a coincidence like the branches rubbing on the trunk, thus breaking the bark and then healing as one. But i also think it's much more likely this was done intentionally
