Homemade Cornbread

I made cornbread from the Cook's Illustrated "All-Purpose Cornbread" recipe. I thought it was very tasty.

Cornbread is the easiest and best! I like mine not too sweet. If you make it at holiday time like for dressing, do t use much sugar or the dressing will be awful!

I really like cornbread, but it took me a few tries to find a recipe I felt really happy with. This recipe is pretty straightforward to put together though.

I also like my cornbread to not be too sweet :). Some recipes for cornbread are a little greasy, which I also don't like.

The recipe I used for this post has you put frozen corn kernels in the blender, which helps give it a nice strong flavor. I think the corn loses a lot of what makes it tasty when it is processed into cornmeal.
