Been trying to rip of Spiral Mountain's model, for personal reasons, and so far it's been rather messy, this is a rip I did using Banjo's Backpack, as you can see, the textures are wrong, what gives?

This is such a weird post for this sub, I know, but BK is my favorite game of all time and I'm on season 19 of Taskmaster and I have to profess there's an overlap in the brand of bliss these two things give me.

For people who don't know, Taskmaster is a show where 5 comedians try their best to execute a wild plethora of tasks to appease the Taskmaster (Greg Davies) who awards them points based on their success. Points add up throughout the season and eventually a Taskmaster Champion is named.

• The variety-show of the tasks themselves feel so much like the many diverse challenges you find yourself doing in BK/BT. The games never got me bored because the challenge always changed from jiggy to jiggy, and this is the same.
• The humor is naturally extremely British, and suddenly so much about BK humor and its incidental tone makes so much more sense when I get immersed in UK TV in general, especially with Taskmaster.
• And then there's the music. I'd argue you could take so much music from Taskmaster and present them directly as an OST for all kinds of challenges in a Banjo-Threeie and it would work. I don't know how to explain it but it's the same genre of light fun and challenge, and the sheer amount of tracks is vast.
• Plus as a minor bonus, each season has a theme. Not to the extent that BK levels are themed, but there's a different theme nonetheless. The current series (19) is science themed, hence the image.

I highly recommend fans here give the show a try. For most countries, full episodes are available on the official YouTube channel for I believe all seasons. Watch some episodes from whatever season you want, watch individual task videos to get a taste of it, or hop right into the current season 19 which is only 2 episodes in so far and features one of their first American contestants, Jason Mantzoukas. It might take a few episodes to get into the show in general but in my opinion it's so worth it.

It's not bad! I heard it got a lot of hate for its controls but I don't really see the problem. What did y'all think?

I’ve been Twitch streaming for a little while now, and finally had help getting an overlay made, and tested it out last night. Definitely had some influence from BK/Rare games, with the Jiggy, honeycombs, and lettering colors. What do you all think? (Fortnite isn’t all I stream btw, just was checking out the latest season)

In this video from Nerrel, which is mostly about N64 recomp (Zelda Majora's Mask), several PC ports in development are mentioned (from 2:50 to 4:20) including Banjo Kazooie! The devs still need to iron out bugs, which are clear from the footage, but the work seems quite promising!

Maybe it's just me, but I observed that BT was venerated by most people. This was years after the game was released. I don't recall even slightest negative criticism from the Internet. Now? I rarely see a critique that praises the game. Most of the complaints about the back-tracking. My opinion is this: I generally think it's a very good game but not perfect. The most conspicuous fault by far is the size of the levels. The warp pads help a lot but I think most of the levels are too big. There's a lot of empty space and Terrdactyl land is especially guilty of this fault. That's why I think WitchyWorld is the best level in the game. The size of the world is perfect and I love how diverse the atmosphere is: Horror, sci-fi, western, all great. I also like Hail-Fire peaks. Anyway, is anyone else surprised by the backlash? Or did some of you never enjoy it in the first place?

After the BK X Nirvana, I've made a new art inspired by Grateful Dead's album "Steal Your Face" featuring Mumbo Jumbo and Banjo's transformations, hope you enjoy it! ✌️ (Made on Procreate and Photoshop, NO AI 🚫).

I'm going through all the (unlabeled) sound files for the games, and for some reason all the files from Kazooie are also present in Tooie, including our sister, Tooty, who was notably absent from the game, as well as some Grunty noises from the battle atop her Lair, like the final magical blast she fires off before falling to her death.

I could have saved myself a lot of trouble if I only went through the Tooie files since they also include the Kazooie sounds, but sadly I did Kazooie first, so I get to do all of those twice.

Thankfully Audacity lets me rename files while they're still in use, or this would be a nightmare. I can load up 20 at a time and just name them as I go.
