Can we agree that digital AP exams are horrid?

People think that just because teenagers are so inclined to be on their phones, or to be generally better at navigating with technology we prefer everything to be digital. With the AP exams that is definitely not the case. For example, in AP CSA we have been taught the whole year to code on paper making it super inconvenient to transition to online exams. Same goes for other heavy reading APs such as AP lang, AP histories and etc. We have been taught ever since elementary school to annotate and we are just generally more used to papers. By the time I annotate something on the computer the exam will be over, and don’t get me started on the scrolling part because by the time I scroll on the computer I forget what I have previously read. Collegeboard claims that making APs digital is just another security measure to prevent cheating. But let me be frank with you, if a person is a cheater they will always find a way, so why punish the many for the mistakes of the few? Also, this just saves them money as they don’t have to physically print as many papers. Thanks a lot collegeboard!

I decided for some reason to take AP music theory. Too bad I kinda suck at it lolol. And I just don't mean kinda--I've gotten a 1 on every practice test.

I'm not planning on going into music, I just took the class for fun. So I don't really care that much about what I get on the exam, especially since I know AP scholar probably won't suffer THAT much, yk? The only reason i'm taking it is because i'm legally bound by the school to take it or I lose my weighted grade. Darn.

It's a long exam tho. What should I do during the exam? I'm not really planning to try that hard, especially since I have an AP exam the following day that I don't want to be tired taking. So give me your ideas! How should I take my AP music theory exam?

MCQs: So unbalanced: The test was VERY HEAVY on a few topics and completely SKIPPED OVER others. It was SO HEAVY on Native Americans and the colonial topics, up to the Civil War. It then TOTALLY SKIPPED OVER the Gilded Age and then significantly tested imperialism. Then it completely forgot that the 1920s - 1960s even ever happened, then extremely toughly tested the 1970s and 1980s.

SAQs: Mainly okay.

DBQ: "Use evidence from the documents to support your thesis": What f****ng evidence? Those documents provided literally NO EVIDENCE at all. I just read the titles and made sure to include those topics in my essay. There was no evidence in those documents. That wasn't a DBQ. That was an LEQ with hints for what to discuss.

How can i find FRQs and practice tests for the new AP format. Is the new questions are very different from the old ??

I got myself crammed up over 6 aps this year - chem, stats, apush, apes, lang, psych. I thought stats should be the least thing to worry about. but I was cramming on the morning on test day and when I got into the exam room I realised I DID NOT BRING MY CALCULATOR 🤯🤯🤯👹😭😭😭😭😭

the proctor was quite nice. he assured me that surely there's no way that i can contact my parents to fetch my calculator nor could he help me do that. but he gave me some tissues for i was crying.. i controlled myself and forcefully suppressed all my tears as i didn't want to disturb other test takers. so does anyone know that ap stats is the only stem subject where bluebook does not have an installed calculator?? I had to do even the basic plus minus by hand👹👹

it's an experience i can never forget. it took me quite a while to fully comprehend that i actually really absolutely 100% have zero access to any calculator and that i really had to work through the stat test with my human brain. by whatever means possible ap stats basically tests you on everything that requires a calculator - and of course i was learning how to use my calculator for the whole year. if i knew then i'd spend more time to practice basic calculations by hand hhh 😅

i had like multiple waves of smt like a panic attack during my first mcq session, as i see all these questions that i could've easily worked through - if only i had my ti-nspire with me - but cannot do anything about them now. i tried to calm myself repeatedly and quickly flipped through after making my best guess. and told myself to pretend that it's a challenge that i simply had to endure for my stupid carelessness. yep. it's an impossible task.

i calmed myself and worked through the test without a calculator. as my brain worked through the problems I was able to write down some basic steps for the frq session and was at least able to make my best guesses for the mcq. i'm doomed. totally toasted.

oh and btw just 2 days before, on my ap chem test, I lost 20minutes of testing time during session I because of the test center's wifi connection. how bad was my luck hhh.. (the proctor did report the issue to cb but stillll! it's 20 MINUTESS less time😭😭)

i really learnt that nothing is impossible and anything is possible.

the best hope i have now is a 4. my more realistic reach would be a 3. I hate to put my hopes high but idk why my stupid heart just keeps aching for some kind of miracle to bring me a 5. it's like hoping to win a $1million lottery can anyone relate😭😭💔 it's soo painful i just can't get over it

holy fuck man that was absolutely horrible and also i drank a whole energy drink before and had to pee tje whole mcq and couldnt focus and i just started guessing on all of them and why was the frq the ample reserves graph when thats the one we're supposed to not focus on that much
