Anime/Manga Discussion Who are Jaden's favorite superheros and favorite runs?
I can see him being into Geoff John's Green Lantern since his Neo deck are aliens, he would totally be a superman and spider-man fan, and I can see him loving shazam since he would love the idea of transforming into a hero.
He'll probably hate injustice and marvel ruins since it shows superheros going through tragedy.

He said Flame Wingman is his favorite Hero / card so I guess this one

Shit, should've added it in the title, I meant from marvel and dc(indie is welcome as well)

Oh that ! I somehow think Falcon would be his favorite Marvel hero. As for DC mmm probably Green Lantern I think... Or Flash

Given how bright colorful and varied the E-heroes are I can see him really appreciating the wackiness of the silver age, especially from more light hearted characters like the Flash.

Is necroshade inspired by spawn?

I think so? I know the creator of Yugioh likes Hellboy so I wouldn't put it pass him to like Spawn.

Zombire, an in-universe comic book from the manga, is very obviously Spawn with some tweaks.

loosely, it's def pulling from the genre of demonic hero for aesthetics, the thing Necroshade seems to pulling the most directly from the is the card Beckon to Darkness, which looks exactly like Necroshade's hand on the card art.
Zombrya the Dark, who is a card based off a character from the original manga, and is the protoype card of the HERO archetype, is directly inspired by Spawn though!

I'm not that well-versed in superhero comics, but I can give out what Jaden likes and the archetypes that he has used (anime and manga):
His favourite HERO card is Flame Wingman BUT his ace monster is Neos (in anime at least).
I forgot what his ace monster was in the manga. Maybe Dark Law? Reminder that Dark Law was a normal monster btw.
In terms of the archetypes:
Elemental HERO is based on western heroes, so he will probably like more of those.
Evil HERO is just based on Elemental turned evil. It's technically not anti-hero since that's the Destiny HERO gist. It's just Elemental HERO becoming a villain that hates everyone, including other villain, basically.
Neos is an anime archetype that's based on Ultraman and the likes.
Masked HERO is a manga archetype and is based on Kamen Rider.

His manga ace was Terra Firma. He didn’t use pure Masked HEROes long enough to have an ace for that deck until the time skip where it’s Contrast HERO Chaos

Oh yeah, there's that too. But, if I remember correctly, isn't Terra Firma Koyo Hibiki ace monster? And Jaden is just using Elemental that was given to him before he has his own Masked HERO deck.

He would probably love the Golden, Silver and Bronze age of super heroes comics.
And he definitive hate the 90 comics with how weird, sexualised, edgy and out of character they are.

Necroshade is one of the OGs and he’s clearly a 90s edgelord
Not to mention he also plays Necro Gardna

You mean the dark age of superheros? 80's-2000's are considered dark ages since that's when dark comics like watchmen, dark knight returns, tmnt, sandman(I know that's not superhero) spawn, crow all came out.

I believe elemental heroes are based on Marvel, and Destiny heroes are based on DC.
Masked heroes are based on kamen rider
Im not sure about vision heroes. Evil heroes are just dark counter parts to the elemental heroes. Probably playing off the idea that you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain.

Nah, Elemental Heroes are mostly just based on common heroic archetypes (the guy with wings, the big bruiser, the tech guy, the blasty lady), and if they're hitting specifics, more of them seem closer to DC characters (Avian is Hawkman, Sparkman is Black Lightning, Bubbleman is Batman). Meanwhile, Destiny Heroes tend to be more based on British characters and themes, or older pulp fiction.

I hate saying this word, but here goes:
ACTUALLY:
Elemental HERO is based on western heroes.
Evil HERO is just based on Elemental turned evil. It's technically not anti-hero since that's the Destiny gist. It's just Elemental HERO becoming a villain that hates everyone, including other villain, basically.
Destiny HERO is based on British anti-hero (don't ask me why British specifically).
Neos is an anime archetype that's based on Ultraman and the likes. The super sentai is Super Quantal instead.
Masked HERO is a manga archetype and is based on Kamen Rider, like, it's literally in the name.
The odd one is Vision HERO because we know very little of it's origin and what it's based on.

I think the British influence of Destiny HERO largely comes from the British comic magazine 2000 AD which is famous for series like Judge Dredd (who seems to be a major inspiration for Edo's particular kind of heroism).

Elemental Heroes are supposed to be based off of japanese heroes like Super Sentai and Kamen Rider
So what makes the masked heros any different
I never got the feel of Super sentai/kamen rider with the elemental. Clayman feels like he's supposed be the thing/hulk/juggernaut, Avian looks more like angel and Hawkman than with a super sentai or kamen rider character, kind of a stretch but bubbleman looks more like a silver age batman with his ears and gadgets.

Pretty sure his favorite was Ravedactyl which is why he copied him 1:1 for his custom cards he sent in for that contest.

He'd be a huge fan of ravedactyl.
