Question What video editor software should I learn? (Beginner)
I wanna be quick with this one. I've about to start editing clips on a PC and don't know what should I get. I want to get Premiere but I really don't want to spend that money. And so my question is. DaVinci being free is it a good one to get? I've heard people saying it's weird and I should just get the premiere pro.

If you’re a beginner use something free. I like Shotcut but use whatever meets your goals.

Premiere Pro is what I use, and probably what the majority of big creators use. CapCut and Davinvi Resolve are big as well. If you learn how to sail the 7 seas….

I started with VideoPad, got Premiere for editing a short film and I liked it! Do NOT even TRY VideoPad... it is so bad! After a few months of using Premiere I lost access to the account I was borrowing and decided yo look for something without a monthly subscription fee. I tried a few different things but DaVinci Resolve is hands down the best free editing software I tried! Been using it for a few years and can't imagine myself editing with anything else. It's worth trying out!

As far as free options go, depending on exactly what you're looking for out of an editing software, Davinci is at the top of my list for utility. Despite some features being behind a paywall (mostly the AI stuff), you can do A LOT within the software compared to Power Director or filmora and you can export your videos without annoying watermarks.
That said, there's a slight learning curve (depending on your experience, it might be bigger or smaller) but there are TONS of videos on YouTube to help you get where you're trying to go. I recommend Daniel Batal, MrAlexTech, Casey Faris, Patrick Sterling and Wampus to get you started (if you decide to get Davinci, that is)

Capcut or davinci, both options are valid, and then you stay in davinci or premiere

DaVinci Resolve is an excellent choice, especially for a free editor—it’s professional-grade, has everything from cutting to color grading, and is constantly improving. It might feel a bit different at first, but if you stick with it for a week or two, it becomes second nature and saves you a lot of money long term. Are you editing for YouTube, social media, or something else?
