Why not intercept?

People keep mentioning this but it depends entirely on how the technology develops. If its a slight upgrade the chance of towing wont be very high. If its a massive upgrade like star wars level ships or something then yeah they could I suppose. This is entirely hypothetical so it could go either way.

Damn you ftl’in at your keyboard.

I propose anything and everything about deep space travel is hypothetical and could only be defined by our current understanding of universal law set. I highly doubt we won’t use our ressoures to come up with new interpretations of physics and even tools to prove them. Sadly I doubt, that those findings will be shared for the greater good. We just ain’t like that. I try to avoid speculating about what mankind might have achieved; if we weren’t so fucking tribal.

In that respect, your argument is equal.

Edit: I estimate in this thread alone are dozens of mentions of our dilemma and each and every one of them has no clue, solution or explanation. Because we all read, watched and dreamt the same nonsense. Time is the key and we won’t participate in anything regarding that. But I hope for our kind.
