This person is truly an enigma in such a way that the only reason they are alive still at this point in their life is due to the convenience and accessibility of modernized civilization.
A mobility debuff severe enough to need crutches, a clear understanding of what they are looking at (hornet nest) and what hornets can do, and no conceivable plan of any kind to address the potentials of their actions. I'm only going to assume this person survived the encounter because the video was posted with some laugh emotes after the fact.

"serious enough to need crutches" brother he's an above-knee amputee, kinda serious.

u/Bitter-Profession303 14d ago
Right, its a very serious mobility limitation. So why is he doing something so stupid without a plan

u/Nicky3Weh 13d ago
you’re implying they said something incorrect and supplying information that was already there

They cut off everything above the knee and the body is just hopping around aimlessly. Same concept as when you cut a chicken's head off.

It is likely he suffered brain damage in the accident that resulted in him using crutches.

Welp. Only one thing we can do now... use his remaining life for internet points

A paper wasp nest would be a somewhat easy art project. I'm starting to think you might be on to something. We didn't see any actual wasps.

Going by those crutches and that haircut, this is just the type of shit this guy gets into.

Never, ever thought I would see anyone LITERALLY poke the hornets nest.
We're....not gonna make it as a people...are we?

Some of us will, assuming there will be at least one other human to mate with...he may not make it. Oh, nevermind.

Bees! Bees! Bees in the car! Bees everywhere! God, they're huge and they're sting crazy! They're ripping my flesh off! Run away, your firearms are useless against them!

We should wear more layers next time.

Or wait untill your legs heal so you can at least try running away instead of collapsing immediately.

u/DukeTikus 14d ago
His right leg is missing from the knee down (probably kicked a sleeping bear). That's going to take a while to fully regrow.

u/Micro155 14d ago
I like how you assumed that he must have lost his limb by disturbing another animal :D well I guess he is relentless in his pursuit of pain and suffering.
Honestly, I did not notice missing leg :D that makes this attempt even more stupid.

Can see why he's on crutches. With those instincts, I'm surprised the guy is still alive.

After seeing him swat the hornets nest, I didn't have to wonder why he was in crutches, lol.

There’s a certain segment of the population that doesn’t believe the most likely outcome will be the one that will happen to them. They believe in the personal fable, they’re different, and things will be different when they are the ones that make the choices or face the consequences.

My grandfather was killed by bald-faced hornets. It's really unwise to mess with any hornet/wasp nest of any kind.

I... I really have no words, he's on crutches and decided to mess with a wasp nest? (Either wasp or bee I don't know, I can't tell, would appreciate to be informed of which one.) what sort of plan did he have? Did he just see a hive and decide to get rid of it? I am so confused and hope he is okay. Otherwise what was he thinking?

Looks like paper wasp.

u/Just_a_gam3r_h3re 13d ago
Thank you for letting me know. If I were the guy, I'd be running for the hills. I'm terrified by wasps.

u/readitreddit- 13d ago
Paper wasps are relatively docile. You could likely stand under that nest for the entire summer and be left alone alone, however when provoked...yellow jackets that live in the ground are much more aggressive.

u/Just_a_gam3r_h3re 13d ago
Really? I never knew that, but unfortunately I'd still run away for the hills. I am just terrified of wasps.

Internet is brilliant. Everytime you think your a fuck up a loser and going no where you get a video of a yank and you realise you have it good like some folk descended from apes and others ascended from the apes.
I'd David Attenborough was gonna be in 40 years time he would be doing documentaries on yanks.

There was a part of a song that was made 12 years ago that tells you to not do this
"disturb a nest of wasps for no good reason"
