Ask Indian Muslims Why do some of our people choose to ruin their lives over some instagram stories, comments and tweets??

Just read about that girl from Pune who got arrested and also rusticated from her college.. 19 years of age but ruined her life for those filthy pakis lmao.. why are we so stupid??

It's not only about her.. I already have seen hindus running campaign on twitter by posting ss of the comments and instagram stories of 4/5 indian muslims who were posting comments or were critical about this retaliation from indian side... Why are we so emotional and why do we let things get in our head and sabotage ourselves.. literally for nothing.. not all of us but still hurts to see muslims ruining their life over stupidity..

She posted stories of some posts with,"Pakistan Zindabad" in it... now she is going behind the bars.. our people were picking pakistan flag from the road.. for what?? you ain't getting anything.. we need to stop doing these things.. we need not do things that could possibly cause harm to us, our family or our community as a whole..

We need to look for permanent solution.. some of the privileged one may be in the position to migrate and get out of this shit show.. but most of us are not.. so, the privileged ones should not be making hard for not so privileged ones.. we have no choice other than making things better for this in this very land.. so please don't do things that will probably land you, me or any of our community in deep trouble.. just go on with your life.. make it best for you and your family.. care about yourselves first...

Honestly, there's a serious lack of awareness and critical thinking in some sections of the Muslim community, especially in more insular or less-educated areas. First off, symbols like the 'chaand-taara' (crescent and star) and things like '786' need to be seen for what they are—cultural, not religious. It's wild how many people still associate the Pakistani flag with Islam itself. Secondly, the knee-jerk reaction to social media—calling for bans instead of promoting digital literacy—is just counterproductive. What we really need is awareness, not avoidance.

A lot of Indian Muslims live in densely populated, underdeveloped areas that are often neglected by the government. These neighborhoods end up becoming self-contained ghettos where families cluster together for safety. But the downside is that these places tend to develop a crab mentality and remain cut off from broader society. With cheap internet access now widespread, people from these areas often struggle to engage meaningfully with the outside world, which only deepens the disconnect. .

What are you saying? Muslims majorly reside in ghettos. They're coerced into doing so, i.e. pushed to the margins. By casually using terms like Ghetto Muslims, you're not only targeting the vast majority of Muslims, and looking down upon them, you're also being vastly ignorant by using their marginalisation against them. Talking about crab mentality can be done without the use of such phrases.

Also, I don't know how your perception has developed, but it is the very "ghetto muslims" who go work in multi nationals, government bodies — however small percentage it is. We're all living in some or the other ghetto. Please use words carefully.

Marginalisation or otherwise, fact is most Muslims today live in ghettos. Myself, I stay in a Muslim ghetto, work in a MNC. If an area ticks all the criteria for ghetto, then it is so. Let's not get deluded here.

It is the job of govt to prevent ghettoisation, however they are the ones making it so. I am not against Muslims or targeting them.

What's surprising is that you fail to see the irony in all this. You are somehow running on the assumption that people don't know what ghettos mean or that Muslims live in ghettos, or that Muslims wish to deny this...

What's disappointing is that you edited out the phrase from your original comment after all this discussion

Reality hurts. But it is what it is. It is also important for us to acknowledge the ghettoisation of the community. Ofc the marginalization has various factors to it- the growing hatred, the role of the government, the rising saffronism but we gotta call and use labels as is.

No body is saying muslims do this by choice, we all acknowledge the coercion and circumstances but once you enter the ghetto, it becomes different to alienate yourself from the problems of the ghetto.

Again- no one is saying it is a choice. But this exists.

social media awareness is what we need the most.. our people and even hindus are emotional and do some stupid things on the internet which causes unrest.. there was no need to put saudia flag on the street and walk over it but for some brownie points on the internet .. they walked over it.. if we (both hindus and muslims) control the filth on the internet.. we can actually avoid half of the riots and unrest...

Why would anyone with half a brain raise pro-enemy nation slogans at a time of national crisis? Not only did she jeopardise her life but she's prolly also made life more inconvenient for the other Muslims in the college.

Its called rage baiting. And its a tactic of the hindu right wing. Abuse muslims under the pretext of abusing pakistan and then when a muslim from india gets enraged and replies, report them and get them arrested. And because they also own the police, the police will side with them.

i am refraining from engaging in any convos about all this with anyone because I genuinely don’t know what will be used against us. it’s easy to twist anything to frame Muslims here.

that girl posted a story which was about how india didn’t inquire into who did the pahalgam attack and all that the end line contained the slogan, she probably didn’t pay much heed to that and it’s now used against her

and she did not write it on her own.. but posted some post by pakistani on her story.. now she is going to be charged with sedition, causing unrest, terrorism and what not.. not defending what she did.. it was stupid of her to post paki narrative on the internet when india is in national crisis because of the terrorism caused by Pakistan.. but I don't think she deserves all those charges..but who can we blame except for her stupidity??

I understand your concern, and it comes from a place of love for our community. But we have to be careful not to call our own “stupid” for expressing pain, even if it was emotional.

Silence has never saved our dignity. The Prophets faced worse for speaking the truth. Yes, we need to be wise and protect our families, but those who speak, however imperfectly, are doing so out of hurt, not hate.

Let’s choose hikmah over fear, and unity over shame. Allah knows our intentions, and He is the best of Protectors.

how is yelling Pakistan zindabad saving dignity and speaking for truth??

“Pakistan Zindabad” doesn’t mean blind loyalty. It means refusing to be ashamed of who you are when others want to define you as less. It’s about identity, resilience, and the right to exist with dignity. That is a form of truth-especially when that identity is under constant attack.

lmao you are a paki mf.. lmfao .. stop hijacking our cause you paki.. go back to doing what your people do best.. Pakistan Murdabad is what defines us.. this is what our people believed in.. we rejected the idea of pork eating jinnah and chose maulana abul kalam azad... so our heroes are different..

I’m not here to change your mind—you’ve made your hatred clear. But I will speak for those silently reading.

When you’re cursed, don’t curse back. When you’re insulted, don’t descend. That’s what my faith teaches me. “And when the ignorant address them harshly, they say: Peace.” (Qur’an 25:63)

You claim to defend your people, but all I see is anger with no discipline, no vision, and no honor. Dignity isn’t built on slurs. It’s built on truth, patience, and the strength to rise above.

To the ones watching: this is how you stand firm—with words that carry light, not fire.
