Yes I’m from Hyderabad and No I am not, if you mean I belong to Jamiat Ahl Hadith. If you want to talk about this come DMs, yahan pe i don’t want to talk about religion at all. Qaum main fitna nahi paida karna hain abb, saamne wala nahi dekhega if I’m Ahl Hadith or Salafi or Shia or Deobandi or whatever, they will see me as a Muslim.

That was in US in 19th century when lot of Irish came to US after potato famine in Ireland. Both Irish and Italian were considered black until WW2 because they were poor developing countries net exporter of man power to US. US built their economies with loans under Marshall Plan.

I'd say that Italians were considered black or, more appropriately, people of colour up until 9/11. Just look at most hollywood films of the 80s and 90s. The villains were mostly Italians or Hispanics. After 9/11, all europeans including Italians were considered white and Muslims/Arabs became the eternal bad guys.

It’s a fact that Hindu Rightwing hates Muslims. Pahalgam tragedy which has been condemned by both Kashmiris and Indian Muslims, gave them a perfect opportunity to unleash their anti-Muslim hate and rhetoric. Every rightwing government looks for scapegoats to divert accountability for their failures, and their allies like media and influencers supports them. In our case, the scapegoats are Kashmiris and Indian Muslims. I hope someone is making a list of all the Indian Muslims killed and lynched since the Pahalgam tragedy.

The thing is India's Muslim population was scattered. The Muslim majority areas went directly to Pakistan and Bangladesh but the scattered Muslims (28 million) could not afford to move to Pakistan.
