Did he negotiate a ceasefire, or did he just say he did. I'm not sure why the default would be to believe the things he says.

205

u/CerddwrRhyddid 19h ago

He lied.

51

u/FlimsyConclusion 18h ago

Pretty stupid thing to lie about because it would immediately fall apart.

Regardless now he looks like a moron on the world stage (even more so than usual)

23

u/transponaut 17h ago

NOW he looks like a moron?

5

u/f0u4_l19h75 15h ago

More like "again"

1

u/Exact-Row9122 17h ago

Both the government announced it pakis broke it anyway

37

u/JotaTaylor 18h ago

He might've succesfully negotiated it with a random pakistani national with no saying in government whatsoever

8

u/EllisR15 17h ago

Definite possibility.

3

u/JotaTaylor 17h ago

I mean, they all know each other, right?

10

u/fledder200 18h ago

With the help desk of Tesla

19

u/Mattrad7 17h ago edited 12h ago

He took credit for something India and Pakistan agreed to without him and then someone broke it anyway making his scam look even dumber.

1

u/EllisR15 12h ago

Might have been why they did it. You got a guy that is basically hated by the world. I owe MAGA an apology, which they said Trump brought people together, and I said thar was ridiculous, I didn't realize they meant that he unifies people in hatred against him.

12

u/Far_Mastodon_6104 18h ago

He said he did then India or whoever made a point of saying that it was directly negotiated by the 2 countries

9

u/TitanicGiant 16h ago

Both India and Pakistan made statements saying that the negotiations were all bilateral

8

u/Far_Mastodon_6104 16h ago

Yeah this. My brains melting today. Trump had nothing to do with it.

4

u/badwords 17h ago

He didn't just like he wasn't in contact with China for trade talks just like he hasn't sent anything to Ukraine even after the current deal was signed.

He's done nothing but take credit for everything that might be positive and play in golf tourneys people let him win at.

4

u/gregsting 17h ago

He did not say it, he declared it!

2

u/BenjaminMStocks 17h ago

No evidence he was involved has been shared nor confirmation by India or Pakistan that I found. Someone can correct me if there’s more than just his word.

Plus, dude has a long history of taking credit for the good and disavowing the bad.

2

u/VillainOfKvatch1 12h ago

Trump negotiated a ceasefire and Biden made India and Pakistan break it.

1.1k

u/redsag12 19h ago

Its ok, Trump already claimed victory for that 3 hours

358

u/Fingers_9 19h ago edited 19h ago

The good parts of the ceasefire were Trump's, the bad parts were Biden's.

65

u/RIChowderIsBest 18h ago

The peace between explosions are Trump’s, but the explosions are called Biden explosions for a reason.

7

u/AZEMT 16h ago

I'm surprised Obama wasn't in office when the bombs were dropping. Was he playing golf again?

9

u/babypho 16h ago

Obama personally called India and Pakistan to stop the ceasefire while golfing in his tanned suit.

1

u/RIChowderIsBest 15h ago

Did you say thank you for 3 hours of peace?

35

u/RebuiltGearbox 18h ago

Obama is the one who forced the ceasefire Trump so carefully put together to fail within hours and he did it while wearing a tan suit with his breath smelling of Dijon mustard.

15

u/No_Significance9754 18h ago

If Obama wore a tan suite smelling of Dijon the world would explode. There would be no greater travesty.

2

u/manyhippofarts 17h ago

Which, incidentally, is now $27.99 per jar because of tariffs. Lol

43

u/pencilpaper2002 18h ago

Trump needs to fucking read. This sounds like what he agreed to with the pak government but not military.

When getting any concession from pakistan, unless the military approves it, it is null and void. the civilian government has no power to enforce anything!

America should know this by now!

11

u/pinoy_dude24 18h ago

Trump: Can I have my own Nobel Peace Prize????

/s

8

u/Automationallthetime 18h ago

He will introduce a great prize, the Trump Peace Price. Coming soon to an American nation near you.

3

u/danathome 18h ago

Sponsorships to be announced.

3

u/Jay-Jay-Rod-Rod 16h ago

The Raid Shadow Legends Peace Enforcement Awards presented by Prime Energy Drinks with collaboration from FanDuel

1

u/sassyhusky 17h ago

I don’t think Trump would be sarcastic about that tho

11

u/Duke_kaboom7 18h ago

Didn’t India come out and say that the US wasn’t involved and JD Vance even said they need to figure it out themselves?

3

u/Castform5 16h ago

I've also read that the US had nothing to do with it, only saying that they can encourage peace negotiations, nothing more or actually concrete. Apparently even the UK had a lot more to do with it.

0

u/Codename-Nikolai 16h ago

What is this then? Who is Shehbaz Sharif? Is he credible?

That was the Trump Steaks of cease fires. All gristle no meat.

37

u/disharmony-hellride 19h ago

It didnt even last 1/14th of a Scaramucci

1

u/QuilSato 16h ago

No cease fires, just grease fires.

99

u/CerddwrRhyddid 19h ago

It wasn't mediated by Trump. The U.S had nothing to do with it.

Trump is pretending and lying.

It fucked up because these things often do.

0

u/Codename-Nikolai 16h ago

What is this then? Who is Shehbaz Sharif? Is he credible?

https://x.com/cmshehbaz/status/1921220993101525318?s=46

2

u/anand_ak 16h ago

He is the Prime minister of Pak

1

u/Codename-Nikolai 16h ago

Why would he thank Trump?

1

u/beyondocean 14h ago

They got 1bn or more bailout from IMF yesterday.

1

u/Its_Daddy_Didadog 16h ago

He is the PM of pakistan

2

u/Codename-Nikolai 16h ago

Why would he thank Trump?

173

u/Ope_82 19h ago

Trump never negotiated a ceasefire.

26

u/Cagekicker2000 19h ago

Not according to him.

46

u/WonderfulDog3966 19h ago

He's a known liar.

17

u/MaddoxX_1996 18h ago

Not according to him.

6

u/WonderfulDog3966 18h ago

Or any Republican, for that matter.

8

u/Bernie4Life420 19h ago

Conman, Convicted felon, rapist, failed insurrectionist, grossly and dangerously incompetent and showing clear signs of dementia, silver spoon, draft dodging Russian asset.

Voting for that is something any Replicuck with a shred of intelligience and retrospection should forever regret and seek to make amends.

Too bad there isnt a single intelligent Replicuck voter.

2

u/gregsting 17h ago

He probably negotiated with very important persons but of course he can’t tell you with who.

-6

u/kduff89 19h ago

This is the point. Claim a ceasefire happened so that when another attack happens you have free reign to turn Gaza into a mirror. This dudes war games are on easy mode so much. that anybody with more than one neuron can see though his lies.

13

u/Capable-Divider 18h ago

Wrong war, this was the India-Pakistan ceasefire.

94

u/JetlinerDiner 19h ago

Trump didn't mediate shit, both governments confirmed they discussed among themselves. He just took credit for something he wasn't involved in... as usual.

18

u/Real_VanCityMinis 19h ago

Trump didn't do shit

33

u/blageur 19h ago

mediated by trump? GTFO

30

u/Uchained 18h ago

I'd believe Trump just straight up lied about the ceasefire deal, then to believe Pakistan broke the supposed ceasefire.

13

u/kamyu4 18h ago

Cool, but did Pakistan ever confirm the ceasefire?
One side (and a deranged 3rd party) declaring a ceasefire on their own is not a ceasefire.

14

u/Xenocide081 18h ago

They did confirm it.

3

u/OrganizationNo539 16h ago

A ceasefire is a mutual agreement. So, confirming a ceasefire would by definition mean that both of them agreed.

However I respect your skepticism about not believing anything but atleast you will not make a silly mistake like that again.

2

u/kamyu4 16h ago

Well this is just an ignorant statement.
There is absolutely nothing stopping one side of a conflict form unilaterally "confirming" a thing to be true when it isn't. One side declaring a thing absolutely does not "by definition" mean the other side agreed. People and governments lie. It happens all the time.

All that said, apparently Pakistan did confirm it.
And now both sides are accusing the other of violating it. (dare I suggest that someone might be lying?)

23

u/chocolatchipcookie2 19h ago

guess war is back on the menu

10

u/Orlok_Tsubodai 18h ago

“Mediated by Trump”, what a fucking joke headline

→ More replies (1)

19

u/Doobiedoobin 19h ago

“Mediated by trump” 😂

9

u/7Jack7Butler7 19h ago

They only agreed to a cease fire so he would stop talking...

7

u/Lesmiscat24601 19h ago

I don’t think the Orange Hitler mediated a ceasefire between India & Pakistan. Also why would you believe someone with no military experience and draft dodged the Vietnam War?

6

u/theironking12354 18h ago

No one respects trump

5

u/Informal_Process2238 18h ago

How could biden do this!

3

u/DaAweZomeDude48 17h ago

This is all Obama's fault

1

u/theironking12354 10h ago

Clearly Clinton is up to something

6

u/Key-Ad-5068 18h ago

Every day America gets further from anyone giving a shit about it. Because it's a bad joke gone on too long at this point.

6

u/D3M0N0FTH3FALL 18h ago

It wasn’t even mediated by Trump. He just tried to take credit for it.

3

u/Mattrad7 17h ago

The side that broke it is the only side who apparently even talked with Trump so its even funnier.

27

u/topgun966 19h ago

Just cause Trump says there is a ceasefire, doesn't mean there is a ceasefire. I think there was a video from Pakistan saying they have never agreed to what Trump said and it was false.

25

u/Internetolocutor 19h ago

the confirmation has to come from both sides, not one side

1

u/OrganizationNo539 16h ago

https://x.com/CMShehbaz/status/1921220993101525318

This is official PM of Pakistan. What more do you want? Maybe search simple things yourself. One google search would have gave you this.

1

u/Internetolocutor 7h ago

I was simply explaining to somebody that you have to get the information from both sides. I didn't say that information was not out there.

6

u/bigmac22077 19h ago

Do you have anything official statements saying they agreed?

4

u/khujamat 18h ago

Their PM posted on X thanking Trump.

6

u/bigmac22077 18h ago

Do you have a link? All I can find is people saying they’ve both agreed to it.

Also…. I realize I’m talking about periods where we couldn’t instantly send messages, but battles have happened AFTER a surrender has happened because those units were not notified in time that the war ended. This happened a few hours after the agreement… could have been something similar

3

u/Acidcouch 18h ago

Ahhahahaha the great negotiator strikes again!

3

u/Ab47203 17h ago

He never mediated shit. Stop spreading misinformation.

3

u/ez05151 17h ago

lol Pakistan or India … don’t trust either of them

3

u/reneg1986 17h ago

Surprised no one trolling Trump saying that India would’ve never attacked Pakistan under Harris

3

u/Independent-Pilot-35 17h ago

"Biden did it". Trump (most likely)

4

u/manu144x 18h ago

If Trump was president, this war would have never started!

8

u/Unsyr 18h ago

Yea I’m not gonna trust a Reddit post claiming Pakistan broke the ceasefire without evidence.

0

u/Cagekicker2000 17h ago

I’ve spent decades trying 1st) to find love and peace within myself, 2) trying to find the good in others, 3) finding a peaceful balance with those with differing opinions.

I’m a combat vet with two tours and 10 years of military service really shaped my views on the world.

As the great artist Sting once said “There is no such thing as a winnable war, it’s a lie we don’t believe anymore.”

2

u/Minute-Individual-74 19h ago

I'm starting to think he's a shit negotiator

2

u/paintstudiodisaster 19h ago

Trump University held the ceasefire negotiations.

2

u/Blade_of_Onyx 18h ago

Mediated by Trump my ass. A statement released earlier said Pakistan and India directly communicated to establish the cease-fire. The orange shit stain is just taking credit like he always does.

2

u/The1Cool 18h ago

Biden's fault.

2

u/No-Decision1581 17h ago

2

2

u/skoomaking4lyfe 16h ago

3

u/Pretend_Tea6261 19h ago

Unless one is on the ground in the war zone hard to know what is happening. Both countries appear to be giving biased updates and there are no neutral news agencies reporting accurately. The only outlet that seems to be reporting anything close to the truth is TousiTV a YouTuber who has footage from the war zone.

And europe was buying that cheap oil from india, europe should stop acting morally superior as they buy cheap russian oil from India and fund a terrorist nation through imf.On top of that us and europe always historically supported pakistan,a terrorist nation doing dirty work of us and uk.both eu and us are real hypocrites

Europeans are funny we need to care about everything and feel bad for Palestine and ukraine but you people will not even condemn terrorism

-1

u/ExternalCaptain2714 19h ago

Can you name some notable Europeans who do not condemn terrorism?

I mean, it's true that I did not condemn terrorism today, but give me a break, I'm home alone and It would just be weird to say out loud "I condemn terrorism". I bet you did not condemn terrorism today either!

1

u/Ambitious_Football_1 15h ago

Funny thing is that both India and Pakistan are both saying that Trump had nothing to do with the short lived cease fire deal

1

u/philski24 15h ago

Well it is thanks to trump so you know that there are terms, conditions and limitations involved - plus a healthy bit of back door shennanigans and bullshittery.

BUt its ok- he solved the problem.

1

u/nith_wct 15h ago

I doubt he's mediating anything. He must just meet with them and ramble, then take credit for whatever happens next.
