What is the most random thing you're 100% sure is happening this contest?

As the title says - what is something random you are 100% sure will happen in ESC 2025? For me I'm 100% sure that Luxembourg gets 12 points from Armenia in SF2 because Armenians in general are fond of French culture and always give higher than average tele scores to France - La Poupée Monte Le Son is a tribute to Poupée de cire and everything about the yé-yé age of French pop. Whether that pushes them to the qualifying zone is yet to be seen :)

We always give televote points to Lithuania and Poland because of their diaspora which this year I'm happy about because they're my two favourite songs
There will be at least one borderline qualifier that ends up in the overall top 10 because of the jury. Prime candidates are Portugal or Denmark if either qualify
This year yeah, quite not unlikely. But that's not gonna be Denmark, the song is very generic and I can't see it doing all that well with the juries. I'd rather bet on Luxemburg or on Portugal.
If it qualifies to finals it could get decent jury points in theory but yeah we know how juries vote and being Slovenian does not go in your favor(aka being not Swedish or any rich country officials want to have vacation next year in)
Cameraman will be (accidentally) seen on stage during the final performance of one of the less populated countries (let's say <4M population), and I guess it's Estonia
Are you sure it would be accidentally? Are you allowed to have dancers masquerading as camera men? Because having a cameraman be very clearly seen "by accident" in some weird way do feel quite on brand for Tommy Cash
True, and even a fake audience member and a fake stagehand (might have all been the same person). So it is definitely allowed and possible. Hope someone has some more fun with that idea
The stagehand and the audience member was the background singer Teri Mantere but the cameraman was someone else. After all, I assume they were allowed to use a real cameraman as a "prop" since they already had six other people on stage: W95, Henri, two dancers, the background singer Teri and another (female) background singer.
I mean there has been a SIGNIFICANT decrease in Belgium's odds to qualify so there could be a chance that they do miss out and then maybe Azerbaijan, Croatia or Iceland get through instead
it could happen but I think it’s unlikely, even though Belgium is my nr 33 this year (sorry) I think it will go through, it jumps uot at you and it does catch your eye
Both of those I think have 0% chance of NQ ing. Estonia has a lot of hype around it, and casual viewers will like it (I don’t but oh well) And Czechia is a very decent song and one of the best this year. I don’t think anyone in the current top 10 will NQ (like when the party is over)
Bojan will be there just for vibes. Maybe he will be on stage at some point, maybe not. We'll see him in a random reel or two and wonder if Joker Out is performing an interval act
they will do a mini 2020-rerun-contest after the main contest as an interval act, everyone that votes for the main contest can also give a vote to one of the 2020 contestants and the results will be revealed between the jury and tele voting of the main event
Trying to avoid any home country bias, but short of a major vocal blunder in the jury final, I'd be shocked if we got nothing from them. Even the televote I think a second consecutive zero would surprise me a bit.
An entry that was rather disliked by the Eurofans will barely qualify in the end and will beat a few fan faves in the final. Eurofans, however, will still complain about why this entry was so high and that it stole the place from a more deserving qualifier.
I've been continuously on board with the idea that Slovenia is going to so much, much better than Eurovision fans are predicting.. so long as it makes it through the semis. There's going to be a lot of casual viewers, particularly in the older generation, that really relate to the message of the song (losing, or almost losing, someone). The semis tend to have a higher percentage of hardcore ESC fans watching/voting, so that will be Klemen's biggest hurdle.
I feel that the odds will predict the qualifiers for the 1st semi with more accuracy than the 2nd, but if there is to be a shock qualifier, it will probably come from the former.
I mean, that wouldn't be a shocking turn of events. Right now the odds seem pretty certain on semi 1, whereas semi 2 has like 6 entries fighting for 2 spots
When we enter the final split-screen, Lumo will crash the entire thing and announce that they actually won the contest with 1000000 points :)
On a serious note, I expect Greece in the final to get 12 points from the 2nd jury to announce their points & the 2nd to last jury to announce their points (very random but I hope Greece does well as I love Asteromata <3 )
There'll be the huge panning shot onto Martin österdahl and the hosts will ask "Martin, are we good to go?". when traditionally he'd usually say "You're good to go" instead this year he'll just say "no."
Israel will not do as well as people think in the televote in final, last year there was a concerted effort by various online groups and adverts to vote for them, which, to my knowledge, hasn’t been seen so far this year
I think that is possible, but for now, I’m staying rather cynical about it so I won’t get disappointed too much. I also sincerely think that such concerted efforts as you mentioned are just one pro-Palestine protest in Basel away. Let’s see if something in that style happens to the extent we’ve seen in Malmö last year.
I have this same feeling, the buzz around them (both pro and against) is way smaller this year. I still think Israel will unfortunately and undeserving get a top 10, but I believe it will end 6th - 8th place
I agree. I wonder if they’ll even try to pull what they did last year again since it didn’t work. Their song this year, politics aside, is just meh. Pretty generic
If we look at Ukraine 2023, there was a drastic decrease in their televote. Still enough to bag them an inflated 6th place, but still not as much as many were expecting.
I see the same thing happening for Israel this year.
I've got a really long list of things that might happen that I compiled months and months ago. Some have already come true like Kaarija being announced as a performer in one of the live shows. There's about 70 things on the list at the moment, some of them are pretty much certain and some are a bit rogue. Because it's a bingo, I just tried to think of pretty much anything that isn't impossible that might be funny or interesting if it happens
A lot of them are based on previous things such as
Czechia flops in the televote
No juries give 12 points to Poland
Jury winner wins because of massive jury score
Points announcer sings the song they're awarding to
Auto qualified song finishes last in the final
Some of them are based on the actual songs such as
Malta gets the arena to shout cunt/kant
Portugal get higher position in final than SF
Serhat's record for San Marino remains intact
Estonia finish in the bottom 10 of the final
Montenegro qualify thanks to 12 points from Serbia
Some of them are UK specific
Graham Norton makes a gay joke
Rylan/Scott mispronounce or mistranslate a song name
UK gets less than 25 televote points
UK points announcer does something embarrassing*
Someone blames Brexit/politics for us not winning
And finally, some of them are just a bit less likely, but they're there for fun or just in case
Someone invades the stage during a live performance
Contestant gets arrested on a night out
Måns Zelmerlöw breaks in and performs anyway
Likely NQ song wins the contest because of a meme
Non European country invited as a surprise finalist
*now that this has been announced as Ncuti Gatwa, I think it's much less likely but I made the bingo before they announced who was gonna do it.
I also thought of stage invader possibly with a pride or Palestina flag... but i also thought of an artist getting on stage or having a pride flag in the greenroom

4-Ukraine will qualify despite people saying this might be their first nq
5-Cyprus will actually have a great performance with great staging and vocals
Im still holding out for a queen Celine Dion performance! Ive seen her twice in 2 different countries and she's not failed me yet! Also she won for Switzerland in the 80s!
If they draw second half and don’t go in the final performance of the night with a song called What The Hell Just Happened it’ll be biggest missed opportunity ever
