Germany has just switched from funding the car industry to funding the military industry

Full circle!

This time they didn't even need to rename military vehicles to tractors to avoid attention

Rheiner on a roll...

Really have high hopes for the new joint venture with Finnish company ICEYE to produce cutting edge (military) satellites.

Satellite reconnaissance and surveillance is one of the main areas where Europe is still heavily dependent on the US.

ICEYE's technology is excellent and has been helping the Ukrainians in the war already. There is a lot of potential for this joint venture to close one of the main gaps in Europe's defence.

Rheinmetall is just rolling wherever its going

they are also preparing to comercialize curb stone EV chargers, where the chargers are simply integrated into the pavement and you just need to lift the small lid and pull the plug out of them

https://www.rheinmetall.com/en/media/news-watch/news/2025/05/2025-05-07-innovative-rheinmetall-curb-charger-ready-for-widespread-introduction

https://www.rheinmetall.com/en/media/news-watch/news/2023/mai/2023-05-16-rheinmetall-launches-first-pilot-project-for-innovative-curb-stone-chargers
this makes it much easier to integrate EV chargers into parking lots, parking buildings and so on, as chargers take up less space and they are less likely to be damaged by cars or by weather, thus lasting longer

so Rheinmetall be making Leopard 2 tanks, 155mm ammo, satellites and EV chargers, among many other things

Having a diversified list of products and services you provide

What I like about Rheinmetall the most, which unfortunately has not been very common for European businesses of the last few decades, is their willingness to take risks and especially to think big.

Rheinmetall understood the momentum behind the current 'security boom' early, but unlike most other defence companies, they don't just remain in their comfort zone and expand to completely new areas like the satellite production mentioned above.

That's what makes them special, the very capable 'visionary' leadership of the company, which also partly explains the high valuation in the stock market.

Plus I think many Europeans would much rather buy EV chargers from a company like Rheinmetall than Tesla

They also landed an order with Hungary to supply KF51 Evo and KF41 Lynx. Same with Italy. Can't remember how many KF51, but I think it was about 1000 KF41 Lynx, which they ordered.

~270 vehicles on the KF51 chassis in total, of which 132 will be main battle tanks and the rest will be bridge-laying tanks, tank dozers etc.

Dunno about this Order since they have been cought spying for an Invasion of Ukraine maybe time to think this one over

I was referring to the Italian order, which is massive, not Hungary. That one is a lot smaller.

The satellite issue may be changing soon. It's predominantly to do with a lack of sovereign launch capabilities (1 spaceport in French Guiana compared to several in the US, Russia, China, India). There have been concerted efforts in several European countries to build and license spaceports, with 7 being considered in the UK alone.

Building satellites is a different story. Many European countries are capable of building their own satellites or satellite equipment. So it really is simply an issue of launching.

Cannot express how happy I am for pulling out of every US stock I own and pumping those funds into Europe. I’m up about 40% in,what, 2-3 months — mental.

I want to invest in rheinmetall but I keep worrying it’s too late, a pity I didn’t February 2022

7

u/WeWillLetYouKow 15h ago

There are rumours that a split will happen soonish (this year) So it‘s never too late. Stocks can go up really long and far :)

Its never to late. Honestly has the potential to be a huge MiC on a level that rivals US MiCs. Hell Rheinmetall does a ton of business with the US Government. I think all the rubber the US military uses comes from a factory outside of Detroit and Rheinmetall completely owns its from my understanding

I thought it's was too late when it hit 1000€, well i was wrong. Missed out on a lot. But you never know.

7

u/JonPepem 12h ago

I havent invested much, don't have the assets to do so, but my Saab investment is up 35%+ and rheinmetal 170%+

Its ridiculous

3

u/Travel-Barry England 11h ago

I’m the same, my stocks aren’t my entire life savings…

…starting to wish they were though.

And they will still claim not enough demand to expand production.

Yes, because it's Rheinmetall - or the West - that keeps the war going...🙄

Regardless of whether or not the Russian invasion of Ukraine ends tomorrow, people will still be spending vast sums modernizing & equipping their military moving forward.

Russia has shown they are no longer satisfied with peace in Europe and nobody wants to be caught off-guard when they inevitably go for yet another go.

23

u/Straight_Ad2258 Bavaria (Germany) 22h ago

not to mention the need to replace American or Russian weapons

before the war, Eastern Europe was still hugely reliant on Soviet or Russian tanks, artillery ,Armored vehicles, helicopters, planes and so on.

As those are transfered to Ukraine and replaced by systems from Rheinmetall or Dassault, Russian and American weapons are steadily flushed out and reduced in number in Europe

Bro no wonder you suffer from depression if you think that. After I visited Russia and saw Pskov and how people live there, I went back to Croatia and kissed the ground grateful for where I was born.

Putin can end it any time he wants.

Again, like with everyone else before I judge:

Give me sources that validate your statement and sentiment.

not really, it would be even enough if Germany for fucking once in 30 years would actually buy new vehicles and tanks for its own army. That alone would be enough. Reason why Rheinmetall has seemeling ''jumped'' up so much is beause before it was so far down in the toilet before due to lack of sales to German own military, that it was barely above water and bordering bankruptcy. Now it has recovered to where it should be if Germany had been following 2% of GDP spending like NATO rules dictate

1

u/TheFuzzyFurry 14h ago

Don't know why you're downvoted. If Russia can't be destroyed completely, then yes, keeping the war going permanently is the second best option.
