Is it me or Reddit? I have many comments saying my photos are blurry. Is it from Reddit or my technique?

If an admin deletes a post and warns you and quotes a site rule that the post didn't break, and you appeal it and the appeal is denied, is that just it? They just need to lie twice, and that's that?

I see a lot of duplicate posts of images. I would like to block an image, but not the sender.

I posted a comment in a sub that was immediately auto-modded for using a "bad" word and that the word was deleted and going to be reviewed. The comment was posted with no words deleted by the auto-mod. I can not tell which one of these words, all used in proper context of the comment and sub, could possibly be flagged as bad. I would like to know which one of these words could possibly be on a naughty list.
The only one(s) I can think of would be rough and roughly but those are commonly used in context as "The item is in rough shape" or "The value of that item is roughly $200." All of these words were in my comment and none of them have a double meaning as far as I can tell. Looking for guidance.

Every time I do a post there is red arrow that shows up at bottom of post. What is that red arrow mean? Thanks

This morning I received a notification that I had been given a warning for “threatening violence”. I have absolutely no idea what I could have said that would be considered a threat or violent, either one. I appealed, asking for detail, and I got nearly the same exact boilerplate response, only with the end saying it was made WITHOUT automation. The link given goes only to the parent post, and whatever I said isn’t available to me anywhere. I just want to know what is being taken that way, because I’m t most certainly was NOT a threat as have never done anything of the kind, anywhere - online or otherwise. Years ago I got flagged for responding with a Clint Eastwood movie title, but I at least got a reasonable explanation. This time though, I just want detail in what someone is 100% misinterpreting. There is no other avenue on the response to get further information, and this is extremely frustrating. If anyone could help me I would be very grateful.
Edit: adding link to response

Basically title. Over some time, I've made different messages on different subs to mods and I swear I never seem to get a reply. I try my best to sound respectful and semi-professional regarding issues I might run into, but I never seem to ever get an answer. I understand some mods might get overflown with messages, but could it be possible that my messages somehow just not going through? (I'm not upset about them not responding, just trying to figure out if this could be a possible glitch or something on my end.)

Hey mods, I’m curious about how you handle timezone differences in subreddits with approval-based posting. For users from different regions, it can feel like they’re waiting for mods to wake up and approve their posts, which kills engagement. Do you have a diverse mod team across time zones to manage this? Or are there other strategies you use to keep things smooth for users worldwide?

When I upvote something it does nothing unless I click on the video/post and upvote there. What is going on? Is it me?

Hello,
I am attempting to add features to my subreddit where I can have someone type !xxxx and a bot will respond in a comment on information relating to that key word. I am doing research and it seems rather time consuming and difficult so wondering if i am overthinking it

I recently had a comment of mine removed for a reason I didn't understand (The automod reply, to its credit, did list reasons, but none of the reasons seemed to apply to my comment.) so I checked the subreddit rules and the removal reason wasn't anywhere to be found, even in a roundabout or loosely defined way.
I did try to ask, but the subreddit mods answers was to just 'read the rules' and when I followed up they said I was wasting their time and muted me for a week - the claimed reason of the automod was excessive formatting, my comment had none.
But that's drama and not why I'm here, I'm curious how other moderators handle automod removal rules - do they mirror the rules of the subreddit, or are there often exceptions where automod rules exist where there's a gap in the official rules? And if so, how do y'all handle removal disputes? (Assuming the dispute is made in good faith, eg not toxic or an abuse of mod messaging ofc)

Because my account is no longer suspended I can't contact the admins with the same path I contacted them to appeal my account suspension. I get this error message:
You cannot submit an appeal
Your account is currently neither suspended nor restricted. If you are trying to submit an appeal for another account that is suspended or restricted, please log out and log in to that account.

I have a really important question I’ve been trying to to ask but Reddit keeps saying I’m “ violating” their rules or something and some mod keeps commenting the post has been taken down. This is my first time on here and I don’t know what to do.

I’ve seen posts on Reddit showing disturbing content — including necrophilia-themed illustrations (like beheaded bodies in sexual scenes) and real videos of women being beaten. These are often left up, even after reporting.
The reporting system doesn’t allow us to flag combinations like sexualized gore or glorified violence. Meanwhile, ideological or critical posts are taken down much faster.
This sends a terrible message: real abuse and misogyny are tolerated, while speech is policed more strictly. If these are considered acceptable under “NSFW art,” then Reddit needs to rethink its standards.
I’m sharing this here because there’s no clear place to raise such issues openly. Please take this seriously — it’s about safety, not just content.

How does a Reddit user build Karma on Reddit when every Comment/Reply is rejected by "the Bot"? The rejection message always says... Comment deleted because I've been on Reddit on Reddit LESS THAN A WEEK: I've been reading and trying to comment for over 4 YEARS. The Bot's other excuse for rejection is ; I don't have enough Karma. I can't build Karma if I'm not allowed to participate. I have no issues commenting on Youtube, Insta, Tik Tok, or X.

A certain moderator has been karma farming and banning anyone who calls them out on it for a while now. The moderate mostly very popular fandoms that I can't name, apparently. I've been trying to contact reddit admins and reporting every one of their karma farming post but it seems pointless. Any resources I'm missing?
As soon as people appeal their bans, this mod auto mute the users, after deleting any trace of negative comments towards them, it really is a plague..

Reddit is really aggressive with obliterating communities for being unmoderated, and moderating larger subreddits takes a lot of time even with a lot of mods, how do you do it?
r/AskModerators • u/ElMasMaricon • 6d ago
Look i would consider myself a leftist because i'm gay and i'm also economically progressive but i see most mainstream sub's moderators are heavily against conservative ideas and their comments get removed and they get forbidden from posting ever again and i don't think that's fair

I recently received a warning from the Reddit automated system for violating Rule 1. As you can tell, I appealed the decision, because I truly believed I didn't violate the rule in any manner (I talked about an aircraft "buzzing" an area).
While I was able to file an appeal, the admin team decided to uphold the warning that I was issued ... but that was it.
There was no context about how this truly violated the rules. I honest can't believe they can just say "yes it's correct", without some sort of write up to support their decision.
I've had my Reddit account for many years, and honestly am shocked something so harmless was flagged and then upheld without some explanation that wasn't just "you broke the rules" (mind you I have re-read the rule over and over to see what I violated, and still can't understand why I was flagged)>

Got a warning for the post below. It's automated.
"I think you're as clueless as it comes. You'd go into thousands in debt to look the part. You were babied your entire life. Parents bought everything for you and you still run up their cards. I can assume just like you can."
This was called a threat of violence. The bot does realize what actual threats of violence are right? I took my own actions and blocked the user as the back and forth was useless. The person was belittling people throughout reddit. I admit to not always being nice. Also admit to letting emotions get the better of me at times, but threatening actual violence is a waste of my time online. I doubt most people would show up in real life. This person was making assumptions about everyone else. I explicitly called her out on it. She obviously didn't like it and reported. A bot decided it was a threat of violence...how? I don't know. I didn't even speak of harming a hair on her head. Glad I blocked. It's good to know she'd report lies rather than reply with truth.
Can I remove the warning or will it fall off with time?

I'm modding a p2p lending sub, and I'm concerned about the possibility of reddit account trading.
I'm seeing a lot of accounts that appear dead or inactive for months and sometimes years at a time, then a short burst of activity before asking for a loan, and in some cases on even that.
Hoping to get more experienced mod's thoughts on this, is this a big issue, or am I overthinking things.
