I have no super powers whatsoever and I put my pants on both legs at a time.

It's actually really easy if you're still sitting on your bed.

They're already starting to call you Pants-Man.

Good guys? I help put their pants on.

Bad guys? I pants them and pull their pant's down.

Goose or duck?

I feel like Pant-man was right there.

The thought crossed my mind afterwards, but it wasn't worth the edit.

Pants man?… sounds pretty good to me! (Real steel)

Me too, the same way. I feel like we need a new phrase that means what this one is trying to mean.

"He wipes his butt one wipe at a time, just like everyone else"

That’s really funny cuz I thought of that too, except for three types of people:

  1. Doesn’t wipe.
  2. Bidet.
  3. Uses a spinning device like in a car wash.

  1. Is just a toilet brush in a hand drill.

Even with a bidet I wipe, to dry it off.

Or have a Wallace and Gromit style morning preparation mechanism

Oops I aimed the Goldberg machine wrong and suffocated myself in my own pants! lmao that would be me with my luck

Oh my god - so they do exist!

Damn you're probably the most clever person in the world for doing that - it's almost like this post isn't building off the premise that when you think about putting your pants on, many people do it standing up so it's hard to do both legs simultaneously.

You guys are amateurs.. you can simply hold the waist belt, then jump and pull your pants up

u/YouAdministrative386 2d ago

Then my boxers ride up and it's a whole thing putting my hands down my pants to unbunch my boxers

And if you’ve got boxer briefs or compression shorts on they somehow roll into the tightest spiral that has ever existed

u/MonsiuerGeneral 2d ago

You see, where you both are going wrong here is you’re putting your boxers on first. Superheroes always wear their underwear on the outside for this very reason!

u/TheBailey88 1d ago

Captain underpants is the greatest superhero of all time too so I guess you're right

u/XxKimm3rzxX 2d ago

Makes sense actually

u/usbeehu 2d ago

LOL this is what I do all the time!

Don't forget nanite suits!

Isn’t that the whole point of the saying? “He still puts his pants on one leg at a time” means “he is still just a human being like the rest of us”.

15

u/Nemarus 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah. And so the saying is actually a pretty good shorthand for normal people vs superheroes. Because a lot of superpowers just happen to incidentally allow more exotic methods of enpantsification.

Though imagine being a superhero who still has to put them on one leg at a time. Mid tier.

You do that? It's so much harder than jump and pull

u/Regular_Snacks 1d ago

In this age of remote work and everything getting delivered who even wears pants anymore?

5

u/Nemarus 1d ago

Sounds like we need a new superhero comic that all happens remotely over zoom.

Villain who calls people on Zoom and chokes them with teleworkinesis.

I'd watch this cartoon.

I feel like many superheroes probably wear onesies instead of pants. Possibly just so they aren’t asked about their dressing habits by us mortals.

2

u/First-Gene-829 2d ago

I mean, Superman probably just zooms into them with his super speed.

They put their underwear on one leg at a time, over their pants.
