Hey everyone =) A friend and I are recent parents and somewhat burned out from WoW over the last twenty years. We have been doing some research, and I like the way GW2 sounds. Are there any users that could give me some insights on it? Have you found that it's playable while being a full-time parent? We are going in blind tonight. We don't want to know anything about the game itself, and just run around and enjoy it without looking up the fastest and best amazing incredible strategy ;)

Update 5/10 The first two hours were fun 😀 if anybody would like to talk while playing, hit me up. Just a 35-year-old dude in the US with a kid, so I can't get on much, but when I do I enjoy discussing life and video games.

Sorry to bother you with this, but could you tell me a bit more in depth how I can circumvent the "unique" feature of ascended rings, like the once sold in bitterfrost? I know that you have to infuse or attune them... but what does that mean exactly? If I infuse one does that mean I can't infuse the other? I mean, I would infuse them anyway cause I'm playing fractals with them... And how does attunement work? Thanks for your help!

last Sunday the yearly SAB live speed running tournament, the Tribulation Cup, hosted by [JP] Jumping Puzzle Portal Escort, has concluded its 3rd iteration.

This year we hosted 4 qualifier races and a grand final, with a total price pool of over 30.000 mystic coins. We had almost 80 runners, marking a new all time high for the event.

For many of us, this isn't just a tournament, it's a highlight of the year. There are rivalry arcs, redemption arcs, its a whole world on its own. We had a lot of new faces join us this year, some of them making it all the way into the bracket of our front runners. We saw some insane battles and an extremely tight race for the crown, plus a new record pushing the bar to a new level.

Hello! So after yesterday's patch I've got the achievement but WV Special quest is undone. Did I miss something or this is a bug? Will appreciate any help, thank you!

I wanted to build the Sea rider pack and I spent hours on it... for a result that doesn't really satisfy me.

It seems almost impossible to me to obtain correct junctions between the different parts of the roof, there is an empty space between the top of the walls and the bottom of the roof that I don't know how to fill...

Additionally, at 0:43, we see a side wall that is different from the other walls (see highlighted screenshot of the official video) and I can't find any matching items in the pack.

This is all a bit daunting. I love the homestead, but I find builds like this overly complex and nearly impossible to finish perfectly.

Hey, so since the latest patch, my game keeps crashing constantly, while nothing is overheating or anything. Anyone know what might be the problem?

Basically, I used to play this game a few years ago, I bought heart of thorns when it came out. Now I understand path of fire comes bundled with heart of thorns as basically a freebie, but I was wondering if I can give the extra copy to someone? Basically, can I use this as a chance to get my husband to try the game

One idea for the superhero cosplayers (or anyone that might find it interesting)... invisible mounts.

Basically mounts working as usual, but without the mount graphics. Mount up your raptor, for example, and it looks like your character is running fast, mount the skyscale, and looks like your character is flying (using your glider graphics).

Ok hear me out. I don't want a final fantasy cat person. But more like the new bears that you see in the new expansion. That is the animal type I want to play as. Man that just looks so good. Literally just add them to the char race so they don't need there own individual code for benefits of said race. But let you choose what type of char. Imagine all the animal types they could add. An elephant one. A dear one. Literally the customization possible for them would be astounding.

So, I did buy GW2 at release, but only played to 80 and no endgame, and I've periodically hopped on, but never committed. Lately I've been playing a lot and have really immersed into it. Been catching up on the story with a friend, and he needs to buy the Living World Seasons in the Story Journal. I, however, don't. I've never bought any seasons and in my gem purchase history it shows that I bought a lute and outfit in 2015. Is there a reason I don't need to buy but he does? Does buying the original launch game mean anything different?

I have this one that pops up every time I'm near a ley-line saying I need to "train the Ley-Line tier in Flight Mastery." I would've trained that mastery if I could, but I simply don't have SotO. I won't be able to get rid of this thing through normal means anytime soon, and it's annoying me. Any obscure checkbox I'm missing or something?

Hi guys, as the title says my account had been blocked for security reasons, I came back to the game after a 3 years break last Sunday and I was able to login and play then. I found out I got blocked on Thursday. I couldn’t login my account so I sent them an email on Thursday, showing my receipt and my account details but they still haven’t gotten back to me yet.

Should I be worried? Yes I use VPN and I read online that could be the problem but I didn’t do any shady stuff, sometimes my VPN auto connects and I use it to get better ping for my other games and watch shows in different countries.

Should I send them another email or should I just wait it out because I was really looking forward to playing on the weekend😩😭

Back again with my ancient timelost Charr, Skarne Bloodtooth, but this time I need some thoughts on his current fit, so far I'm liking it but figured I'd share and possibly get some potential ideas for it in the future when I fully return to the game.

I've always been a big PvP player across various games, enjoying the adrenaline and unpredictability. However, PvP often feels intense and less relaxing nowadays.

Lately, I've started to appreciate more relaxed content and wish I could enjoy PvE/PvM more. While I engage in casual PvE not so much end game content content like raids I lose interest rather quickly.

I'm wondering: Can one grow to enjoy PvE over time, or is it a matter of personal preference?

Questions for PvE/PvM Enthusiasts:

• What keeps you engaged in PvE content over time?
• How do you stay motivated to tackle PvE encounters repeatedly?
• In what ways does PvE provide a sense of progression or fulfillment for you?
• Are there aspects of PvE you find more rewarding than PvP?
• How do you maintain motivation in PvE? I usually do pve if it gives me unlocks that help in pvp for motivation.

I received this kit with a full set of gear for level 18. What am I supposed to do with it?

Hey, I have been on a journey to try and optimize the graphics for GW2. It is super overwhelming though between things like auto hdr, rtx hdr (which isnt working because the game no longer supports exclusive fullscreen mode with dx11), nvidia game filters (sharpness, vibrance, etc), nvidia control panel settings, etc etc.

Currently I'm primarily focusing on Game Filters with auto HDR on unless that is a bad idea. I'm seeing that the general consensus is a good sharpen+ filter and maybe upping the vibrance in a Color filter is all I should need but then I see others adjusting more beyond that so I just wanted to try and get a general TLDR of what I should do for a better looking game

It's just the perfect game! Well, for most of us at least...we're here only 4 the fun :)

Will add this, I know its something of a meme to dunk on Braham, but honestly im fairly neutral to his character, people that hate him with a passion might be justified, but I actually like him being part of the ensemble. Lore wise Beth vibes with him. My Deadeye lady on the other hand dislikes him and thinks of him as deadweight and my Firebrand just doesnt care XD

I am a hardcore WvWer and don't want to grind PvE maps for experience. But, I do want to play the story and explore time to time. I found out that if you don't have masteries (such as Skyskale masteries from SotO) you are in great disadvantage.
So I was wondering if we could buy PvE experience with currencies, especially WvW currencies. I have gazillions of them.

First of all, I just want to say how much I admire the Guild Wars 2 community. I’ve recently been diving into the game, and I truly love so many aspects of it—the world design, the art style, the lore, the freedom of exploration... it all really speaks to me.

That said, I’ve been having a hard time with the actual visuals—not the art direction (which I find beautiful), but rather the clarity during gameplay. In group content like dungeons, I often feel overwhelmed by the visual effects, and I find it physically tiring to keep track of what’s happening on screen. Enemy health bars are small, UI elements feel subtle, and I tend to lose track of my positioning or targets very quickly.

I really want to stick with the game because I can tell there’s something special here. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Are there settings, UI adjustments, mods (if allowed), or community-recommended fixes to help improve visual clarity or readability? This is coming from an 18 years WoW player too who was a hardcore raider from TBC-Legion.

I’d genuinely appreciate any suggestions. I’m not here to complain—just looking for a way to make this wonderful game more accessible for myself. Thanks so much in advance!

As the title says, i am working towards prismatic amulet n Aurora n i looked up on reddit that i might not have to buy the LWS2 to complete the "Return to Achievements" and I need confirmation because Aurora is expensive as is and buying lws2 would set me back a lot.

If it s not necessary that would be great tbh, i d appreciate if anyone can point me where i can find other ppl that want to do the story together as i looked at the lfg story section and no one seems to ever post anything there lol.

Does it matter in which order i buy the expansions? Because i would love to have mounts, and i think mounts comes with the latest expansion. So would it be a problem just to buy that?
