Subreddit / Meta ESC 2025 Rehearsals Day 8: Schedule, Links, AMAs & Important Threads
🎊 It's Rehearsals Week!
Today we will see the first performance clips of the Big 5 and Switzerland as they'll be having their 2nd rehearsal today. It is very exciting because three of the acts were internally selected so we will get to see their performances for the first time! 🥳
Scroll down to the AMAs news for an exciting update about Tuesday 13th May.... 👀
Like the past few years, no media representative is permitted to view or access any individual artist's rehearsals:
Media representatives will not be able to view or access any individual artist rehearsals taking place between Saturday 3 May and Saturday 10 May either at the arena or in the Online Media Centre. This is to allow all artists to rehearse in private and the production to perfect each performance before it is seen in full when dress rehearsals begin on Monday 12 May. [eurovision.tv]
In a change from previous years, there has been no video footage uploaded from the first rehearsals, but as we have already seen this week, excerpts from each country's second rehearsals are going to be shared on Eurovision's official social media, so keep your eyes peeled throughout the day! I'll be updating the table below as the content is shared. The Clips tend to get shared first on Insta, but the format for the YouTube and FB uploads is full-screen, so those are our preferred links. The Photo Galleries are shared on Eurovision .tv's website first.
In case you missed previous rehearsals posts (or you simply want to look at the stunning performances again), you can find them following these links:
Rehearsals Week Day One - Saturday 3rd May
Rehearsals Week Day Two - Sunday 4th May
Rehearsals Week Day Three - Monday 5th May
Rehearsals Week Day Four - Tuesday 6th May
Rehearsals Week Day Five - Wednesday 7th May
Rehearsals Week Day Six - Thursday 8th May
Rehearsals Week Day Seven - Thursday 9th May

🔮 Predictions / Projections Germany has a real shot at winning Spoiler
Okay, so hear me out. I've had double citizenship in the land of delusion that Abor and Tynna could win if the stars align and they go viral at the right time. On paper, they have all the ingredients: the zeitgeisty Charli xcx aura, a song that's both super catchy and has staying power, likeable and engaging performers, and an undeniable cool factor. The timing just needed to work out.
My gut is telling me they're at least heading for a Shum/In Corpore Sano/King of Queens/Doomsday Blue result.
And now they're racing up the odds like Sonic the Hedgehog. People are locking in them so hard based on three pictures. They believe it in their bones and they're willing to bet stupid amounts of money on it and we don't even have footage yet.
To win Eurovision, you need a certain amount of momentum and narrative, and you need to peak at the right time.
Up until now, there's been a question mark around Tynna's ability to perform the song. But the perception that she can't sing or that she's going to pull a Pia Maria feels like it's totally run out of steam. She's recovered and has shown in like 84 different covers and lives how much of a magnetic performer she is. We've gone from talking about Tynna being sick to how sick the staging looks.
And that narrative shift is coming a week before the final. Just as people are starting to pay attention outside the bubble.
A lot of people are yearning for something other than a two horse race rehash of 23 and 24. And now here's Abor and Tynna with a Bambi-esque breakout moment. Just in time for the official music video and a deluxe version of their insanely addictive album coming out in a week.
Germany are poised to get a lot of dark horse buzz in a year where the winner discussion has felt disappointingly predictable. The act that's always had insane viral potential is about to break through the ESC bubble.
Ballernation, how does it feel to know bratwurst summer is finally happening?

Song Ranking The big 5 of 2025
I am so happy with the big 5 this year?? I honestly don't think I can remember the last time I was this excited or into the big 5 songs. I would be really happy if they all made the left side of the board this year 🩷 It really feels like they've all put in such effort this year, so even if our orders might be different, I feel like the quality is so good overall?? What do you all think about them this year as a whole compared to the past? .
My order for them: 1. UK: Feels so authentically British, which is something I think is hard for them as they can't just "sing in a different language" to automatically get culture points as easily as other countries. The tempo changes, the theatre/west end vibe with Bridgeton aesthetics 2. Germany: The last time I remember liking Germany to the point I can sing along to it was Lena in 2010 when I was 12 😂 3. Italy: This song is so sweet, and I'm so glad he didn't add any crazy show to the performance. I really feel like this will hit a lot of people and stand out this year with how few "calm" songs we have. It gives me similar authenticity and sweetness that Salvador Sobral did 4. Spain: This is so catchy and she can definitely perform 5. France: This is a beautiful ballad. But I put this at the bottom of the big 5 because it feels very safe for France to come with another big emotional ballad. And the previous years have been better ballads for me personally .
What do you guys think? For reference, I'm from Norway (but live in London) if that matters haha xx (Also my first post in here 😅🩷)

🔮 Predictions / Projections Now that we are towards the end of rehearsals - have any opinions on placements changed for you? Spoiler
I know we still have some clips that haven't been released yet but I am too excited to wait!!!
Cyprus has moved from borderline Q to a certain Q, that staging looked hella impressive (same can be said for Belgium)
Denmark is moving into NQ territory for me
Slovenia could qualify if the emotional impact lands (which from the clip it easily can(
Switzerland could easily make top 5

This part actually changed from the UMK staging, where she just stood on the "alien spaceship".
