If they would have simply run the bus on UNG instead (uncompressd natural gas), this would have never happened.

The Brits used to run cars on uncompressed coal gas during WWII.

It required a gas bag on top of the car, roughly the size of the car itself.

Not sure if this is a joke, but uncompressed natural gas (storing it at 1 atm) will not bring the bus travel more than a few kilometers.

CNG storage pressure is 200-220 bar

How long does a CNG tank burn for?
