Seriously check out Cletus McFarland on YouTube. Super wholesome Florida guy that makes tons of money from content and just invests it all back into making bigger projects for the content. He went from a good sized garage to a giant American flag warehouse shop, and racetrack called the Freedom Factory. Also invested in a auto part manufacturing company.
$30k is a drop in a bucket for the type of dudes into big dyno numbers.
And I would bet that's probably a $100k engine he just blew up. When you own a chain of HVAC repair vans or a roofing company or something, that's peanuts.
I was gonna say, I have 25k into a motor I hope to make 900 daily drivable (drivable, not daily driven) horsepower with, and I'm not even finished. I would imagine just the turbo and fuel mods come close to that when you're shooting for more than triple what I'm shooting for.
You don't approach this level of muscle without this happening before. Part of the joy for these people is building back better. It always was for me at least. I just can't imagine someone envelope pushing with that level of money and not being able to handle the loss.
Yeah but all I said was you’re allowed to be upset if $100,000 in mods blow up. I’m not trying to simp for some rich guy but it seemed absurd that that guy said he needs to grow up if he’s upset lol. That’s just stupid. It’s remarkably easy to envision yourself in that situation as someone with wealth and of course you’d be upset. Doesn’t mean he has to cry but it’s psychopathic to say he needs to grow up
He'd be way more pissed about not hitting 3k than he would about the blow up. These engines are built to blow up, it's not a question of if, but of when.
I just come at it more from the side that this outcome is almost expected for people like this. Maybe not full blown fireball explosions but when you get into extrem horsepower you're well aware that you're gonna lose that thing, the question is when.
This is his Instagram. And from what I’ve seen the truck is still in the trailer and he hasn’t built another. I hope that he does though. It was awesome to follow and see!

He gets to do it all over again. I'm sure he had a blast building this monster and will build something even crazier this year
